Faculty Councilo Talked about lead faculty nominations this spring.o Concerns about how scheduling is done. A dashboard is being created for AD’s and

lead faculty that predicts the times that students will need courses. o Faculty are encouraged to join the Foundation. Payroll deduction is available. o Proposed withdrawal process under discussion: Instructors may withdraw students

after three weeks of non-participation (available Fall semester).o Faculty council elections in March, officer elections April.

Looking for more structure to the Resident Faculty Grant scholarship. Students do not use MCC email accounts. Therefore, their emails are tagged as coming from outside the system. The recommendation was made to insist that all email communication be conducted only through MCC email accounts. Other communication is available through Schoology. This visit was well-received.The SADHA students are selling candy bars in 900 as a fund-raiser. Dental Assisting pinning May 9, 6-8pm, Dental Hygiene pinning May 10, 10 – 11:30.Dental Hygiene early acceptance April 1, regular acceptance July 1.The Dental program director is meeting with science students to clarify admission requirements. Looking for ways to be sure that students get the correct information. Perhaps regular informational sessions for prospective students.Looking for a better place to display the “statue”, it is on loan to the college and originally from Bali, made around the 1930’s. For more information, see PDF file below in Supporting Documents, thanks to Dan Worden for pulling this together.No More week went well. Denim Day is April 24, there will be a group photo with the jeans that were collected, details to follow. Planning now for October events in order to get more student participation.
