The GPS tracking unit that go into the vehicle / motor cycle or generator will be assigned with a GSM SIM for communication over the GSM network using GPRS packet data.

These units are pre-configured to send out all events to the designated Server and will continuously communicate its status via available GPRS network to the application at Central / Regional control rooms.

The tracking unit using its GPS module will also communicate with the Global Position System Satellites to get the location's geographical coordinates. The GSM/GPRS module of the tracking unit will communicate its position to the system servers via GPRS protocol on the GSM network. At the system servers these data will be logged into the GIS system and displayed in real time basis on the digital map using graphical-user that it displayed on the visualization tools in the central control room.

The advanced feature of the application and the Google Maps gives the ability to set geo-fence on any chosen roads. This will allow to instruct vehicle drivers to go in particular routes from point to point to automatically verify that the truck driver followed the permitted route, the real time position of the truck will appear on the digital maps as a direction arrow in the exact location of the road, if the driver goes out of that route an alert will be generated, the directional arrow will change its color and the system will keep showing in a real time basis the exact location on the digital maps.

• Real time GPS based tracking system monitors all vehicle activities and provides updates using GPS / GPRS on Google Maps

• Time, Distance and Speed monitoring on real time basis, the system also provides with accurate time stamp at any given point of time with distance travelled with speed parameter for every minute.

• With Ignition control connected to vehicle, allows in capturing all the ignition states to identify the start / stops / idling.

• Virtual Fencing uses Google Maps in creating geo fencing of designated areas / routes. This allows alerts by Email / SMS for all event occurrences within these geo fenced regions / routes.

• Vehicle Driver Management and license status data for driver can be managed.

• Real time fuel management with in-built sensor or an external fuel probe into vehicle can be very effective while managing large fleet. This can result in controlling revenue leakage to a large extent.
