July August 2015 Edition

Team Imprints Speaks

As issues and challenges in the industry and community BECOME more complex,

THERE IS A NEED FOR EMPATHY AND UNDERSTANDING TO DEVELOP solutions. At

SIMSR, WE TRAIN our students TO RESEARCH AND RESOLVE these issues and adapt

themselves in the dynamic business environment.

Our teaching pedagogy has dramatically changed to engage the students. We expose

the students to more real life situations and not just focus on text book learning. We

do this by adopting the case study model inside the classroom, and through experi-

ential learning outside it. The students understand and appreciate healthy competi-

tion, and this is evident by the amount of extra-curricular activities they take part in.

We are reconnecting with our Alumni and trying to build a symbiotic relationship

with them, so that both the institute and alumni can benefit mutually.

As A P J ABDUL KALAM states - "All of us do not have equal talent. But , all of us have

an equal opportunity to develop our talents"

One of the crucial areas of Alumni Committee involves the circulation

of job mails in our extensive SIMSR Alumni Network. Over the years,

many alumni from different organizations have come forward and

helped create job opportunities for their colleagues in the Alumni

Key highlights of job offerings in the alumni network:

Since April to July 2015, there have been around 54 opportunities

from various companies with an average of 2 openings per

company.

There have offerings from big players in the industry like Morgan Stanley, Housing.com, HSBC, McKinsey, Dun and Brad-

street, IMRB International, Times Group, IBM India Pvt. Ltd., Seclore, Duetsche Bank to name a few.

Many fellow alumni have been benefited immeasurably through this initiative. We encourage you not to hesitate in

reaching out to the Alumni Committee for sharing job opportunities with our very own Alumni Network.

She is energetic, creative and talkative. With a passion for marketing and an aim of constantly learning

something new, she says its her privilege to be a part of the ALCOM committee and is looking forward

to reconnecting the Alumni with their alma mater.

I believe in the adage 'Be the change you want to see in the world'. When she graduates from the

college, she would want to be warmly welcomed back to her alma mater, get in touch with old friends,

teachers as well as juniors and here at ALCOM she aspires to deliver the same.

A pantheist by heart and an explorer by mind, she has an insatiable thirst to learn different cultures and

lifestyles. Being a part of ALCOM, she looks forward to bringing smiles on the faces of alumni by helping

them reminisce about their good times at SIMSR and acquaint them with the developments of the

Institute.

An optimistic, passionate and motivational individual who believes that establishing a strong connect

between people makes relations go a long way in life. Being an ALCOM member, she would work to-

wards strengthening the bond that alumni share with their alma mater and also contribute towards the

goal of brand SIMSR becoming a world class B –school.

Describes herself as a confident, enthusiastic, fun loving, adventurous girl and an ardent believer of 'The

Secret'. She believes in the saying "Your roots will help you define yourself in the future" and so she hopes

to increase the reach of SIMSR Alumni Committee and help it build better, long lasting relations with all

Alumni.

Confident, friendly and inquisitive. Interpersonal skills are one of her strong suit. She likes to learn new

things and aspires to build a resounding professional career against she formal name. I want to contribute

to the bonding of alumni with the College as she feels it’s important to light up the past in order to

brighten the future.
