ERP:- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software

facilitates the flow of information among all the processes of

an organizations supply chain, from purchases to sales,including accounting and human resources.

ERP solutions are available from various companies like

SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft.

SAP:- Systems, Applications and Products in data processing.

Article:- Product is termed as an Article in SAP.

It is same as Stock Keeping Unit (SKU).

Article Code:- The unique identification number of an article

is known as Article Code. It is a 9 Digit code, e.g. The article

code for Nokia72 is 490016752

Site:- Store/Distribution Center is referred to as Site

Stock:- The available quantity is referred as stock

SLoc:- It is a storage location for the stock in a site. Eg.Display location in store

Indenting: - It is the process of sending the request (order) for

the required products/articles in the site /store.

Purchase Order:- The document to place the order to vendor. It

is also called as Stock Transfer Order (STO) it is used for

placing Order to the DC from store.

Distribution Center (DC):- Place from where the goods will be

dispatched to the Store.

Shipping Point:- Point from where the goods will bedispatched

Ship-to-party:- Site where the goods will be delivered.

Delivery Order:- Document given by the DC along with the

goods supplied to the site (store).

Goods Receipt:- The process of receiving the indented

products/articles from the DC in store

Rejection:- The process of removing articles/products, which

are not in salable condition, from stock. Eg. Packaging broken,

physical damage in the product.

Return:- The process of returning articles/products back to the

DC / Vendor.

Back store:- The storage area in the store which is not used for

merchandising.

Display stock :- Articles/Products on Display/Demo. These

article can't be sold.

Shelf:- The storage area in the store which is used for

merchandising.

Transaction Code:- Code used to perform any action/transaction in SAP eg. RWBE for viewing the stock

Physical Inventory:- Physical quantity of articles/products in

the store.

SLoc to SLoc Transfer:- The process of transferring the stockfrom one storage location to another with in the same site

(store).

Reversal:- The process of reversing the transaction which iswrongly done in the system

Pay-in-slip:- The slip/document to be generated when amount

need to be deposited into the bank.

SAP Commands contd

MBSTTo Cancel the Complete Article Document Number.

(This command is used mainly when you have done GRN by

mistake or any other entry by mistake and now you want to

cancel the complete document. It will ask for Article

Document Number, Posting Date and Reason of Movement)

MB0AThis command is used for reversing certain articles

for which you have done GRN by mistake. Instead of

canceling the complete document this command will cancel

only the selected articles. (Give Command MB0AMovement Type 102Enter Delivery No.Remove the

Check Mark from all the articles by using deselect all and then

select only those articles for which you want to reversal.)
