Student Progress Reports
This week I am sending home your students’ progress
report from the MPG Reading and MPG Math computer
assessments. When looking at both of
the charts for math and reading, we list the fall (FA14) and
winter (WI15) scores. Your students’ score
is blue and the average score for a
student in Kindergarten is
yellow. If you have any questions about
your students’ progress or need help reading the
paper, do not hesitate to email or
call me!
THINGS NEEDED:
• Hand SanitizerWe are trying to keep gross germs away!
What we are learning:
* We are talking all about President’s Day and our Presidents* We are talking about 3D Shapes again. We will be discussing: sphere, rhombus, cylinder, and cone. * We are learning a new poem this week. Please read this with your child and sign their chart in the yellow folder. * So far, we know the following sight words: a, I, and, my, see, the, up, you, like, is, can, to, we, here, play, a, at, me, go, it, in, he. Please work on these with your students
Sight WordsPlease keep working on the sight word list
that has been sent home. We are
continuing to add more to our word wall each
week. Work on reading the words from the list
or make flashcards!
Please take the time to read with your child on a regular basis. Even if it is just 10 or 15 minutes, 3 or 4 times a week, your child will benefit so much! Read to them, and let them see the words as you read. They will probably spot some words they know, and will be thrilled to help you read!
Customize with your own titles, text boxes and section outline boxes.
