"Go Nomads"

One of the trends of Kazakhstan’s education is expanding transnational cooperation to increase the mobility of students, staff and growth of internship educational programs.The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan is updating content of education in the framework of the trilingual education. In order to contribute to internationalization of Kazakhstani universities the Center for International Programs launched “Go Nomads” Bolashaq Teaching program” for volunteers willing to assist teachers in Kazakhstan.

Objectives

About the program

The Bolashaq teaching program “Go Nomads” is a great opportunity for volunteers to make an internship in one of Universities or high schools in Kazakhstan and experience Kazakhstan’s society and culture. Interns are supposed to work as a TA (teacher assistant) of Professor or teacher in a particular field of study and assist him\her in conducting classes.Volunteers as an intern are also supposed to organize speaking clubs, discussion sessions and other extracurricular activities with local students.At the end of the program the volunteer will be issued a certificate of completion from the Center for International programs.What are they looking for?We're looking for people who are interested in education and want to make a difference to a young person's future prospects. Enthusiasm for the tutoring subject is crucial.

The Great OutdoorsKazakhstan is definitely an outdoor country with

a beautiful landscape.

Without leaving the environs of Almaty you can

ski at Shymbulak, go biking in the Tien Shan

mountains, or hike, horseride or quadbike

through Charyn Canyon.

In 250 kilometers away from Astana is located 

Burabay (Borovoe) National Nature Park, the

resort pearl of Kazakhstan. You can observe

gorgeous pine forests, cliffs formed of neat

gigantic natural bricks, and fantastical shapes of

peaks.

Charyn Canyon - a natural monument, built of sedimentary rocks, whose age is about 12 million years. The height of the steep canyon mountains reaches 150-300 m. The multicolored rock layers are the product of different stages of sediment deposits, from volcanic lava rocks at the bottom to red debris on top, deposited by the rivers that once flowed through.

EXPO 2017

In summer 2017 the world exhibition of alternative energy “EXPO 2017” was held in Astana, which was attended by about a hundred countries of the world. Besides on the eve of the exhibition Astana has just been changed!There are even more architectural structures of unusual shapes and for different purposes: from the hotels to the elevated railway. From 10 June to 10 September the “EXPO”was held in the capital, and the whole city turns into one big tourist metropolis with excursions, visits, cultural events and mass events. We hope that this international exhibition introduced many foreigners, not only with the energy of the future, but with our country, raising the image of Kazakhstan in the eyes of citizens abroad.

Baikonur Cosmodrome

Baikonur cosmodrome is a huge complex

of rocket launches, the first and the

largest space center in the world.The

spaceport is located in the desert

steppe of Baikonur, about 200 kilometres

(124 mi) east of the Aral Sea and north of

the river Syr Darya. It is near

the Tyuratam railway station and is about

90 metres (300 ft) above sea level.

Baikonur cosmodrome and the city of

Baikonur celebrated the 63rd

anniversary of the foundation on June 2,

2018.

Lake Kaindy in southern Kazakhstan is one of

the newest and most unique natural wonders

on our planet. Especially beautiful in the fall

(autumn), Lake Kaindy boasts not only

exceptionally attractive blue color of water

and snowy rocky mountains surrounding it

but also the unique, silver trunks of dead

spruce sticking out of the lake's surface. The

"flooded forest" is indeed one of the natural

landmarks of Kazakhstan. It all creates a fairy-

tale like scenery, not seen anywhere else.

Multiculturalism

Kazakhstan is the world’s ninth largest country

by landmass and much of it includes the vast

expanse of the Asian steppe. Horses for

centuries were the lifeblood of the nation. They

provided transportation, the hides were used for

many purposes and the meat sustained the

region’s nomads as they explored these great

lands. Though modern cities now dot the steppe

and cars have replaced trusty steeds, horses and

horsemanship hold a unique place in Kazakhstan

culture.
