Implementation Studies for NACE • TURKSTAT compiles and disseminates

quarterly GDP by activity and by expenditure, and quarterly estimates of GDP by income approach was last published in 2006 in current prices.

• The GDP by activity is the main approach for the current quarterly estimates

Implementation Studies for NACE • Reclassification of quarterly GDP series from

NACE Rev.1.1 to NACE Rev.2 took place on the basis of SBS results on output for 2009.

• 2009 SBS results had been classified according to both NACE Rev.1.1 and NACE Rev.2

• This allowed bridge tables to be constructed.

Implementation Studies for NACE • SUT 1998 and SUT 2002 were reclassified with these

bridge tables, so that input-output coefficients and trade and transport margins were prepared based on NACE Rev.2

Implementation Studies for NACE • For the NACE reclassification an EXCEL

reclassification tool was made. This tool was used extensively for the reclassification work.

• For the time-series before 2009 back-casting based on transformation coefficients calculated for 2009.

Implementation Studies for NACE We have been working on:• Recompilation according to NACE 2 QGDP series for

2009 – 2012• Harmonization of GDP by expenditure calculation to

new GDP by output estimates based on NACE Rev.2• Harmonization of GDP by income calculation to new

GDP by output estimates based on NACE Rev.2
