Discover PLUSAbout This GuideWelcome to Discover PLUS! PLI developed Discover PLUS to help make legal research more user-friendly and intuitive. Along these same lines, the purpose of this guide is to provide you with the materials you need to get set up with your subscription and help make your launch of Discover PLUS successful. There are step-by-step instructions on how to access PLUS as well as contact information for training help and product support.

Discover PLUS OverviewDiscover PLUS subscribers have unlimited access to PLI’s eBook library, which includes PLI’s Answer Books, Course Handbooks and Treatises, along with legal forms and transcripts. New content is uploaded regularly, and our archive of older titles continues to grow.

Subscription – Setup and Next StepsAfter signing your license agreement, your subscription will be set up by PLI’s Library Relations team.

IP Authentication• If you wish to receive IP-authenticated access, you will need to provide PLI with your organization’s IP address(es).

– Submit the IP Address Provisioning Template (accessed here ), which includes instructions on what information is required. The required fields for the form are Location Name and IP Address(es). Note that we require addresses for data and/or backup centrals.

• During your subscription term, if you need to amend your IP addresses, please contact PLI's Library Relations Managers at (877) 900-5291 or discoverplus@pli.edu.

Roll-Out Call• PLI will schedule a roll-out call to provide you with details about your subscription, tips for getting started,

and search advice catered to your specific organization.

– Your PLI Account Manager and Library Relations Manager will be on the call. We recommend that the person responsible for your license agreement and/or training be on the call.

– During the call, we can discuss further training opportunities, both on-site and through WebEx, for attorneys and staff with the Library Relations Manager.

PLI Discover PLUS Customer Service PLI provides support for the Discover PLUS platform. Write us with anything you need, including Search Help, Technical Assistance, or Archival Requests. In addition, our team is available to provide WebEx or on-site trainings.

Welcome EmailInform your colleagues about their access to Discover PLUS with a Welcome Email. Included in the email is information on how to access PLUS, along with the “Getting Started” guide.

Online TutorialA guided video tutorial of Discover PLUS. A link to this tutorial can be added to your intranet.

Getting Started GuideA step-by-step guide to getting started with Discover PLUS. You can provide a link to this guide by adding it to your intranet.

Coverage ListReference guide for librarians, attorneys, researchers and other PLI Discover PLUS users. The coverage list provides a listing of the books, forms, and transcripts available through your subscription. A link to the coverage list can be included on your intranet.

MARC RecordsPLI provides MARC records for all PLUS subscribers. We will send these records upon request and provide you with quarterly updates.

Usage ReportsWe provide Discover PLUS usage reports, which outline your organization’s activity. Reports are available upon request.Alternatively, we can send them to you on a monthly basis.

Staying ConnectedWant to hear more about Discover PLUS? Take advantage of these additional sources of information!

PLI LibrarianRead our blog to receive up-to-date information on Discover PLUS. Included are search tips, guides to navigating PLUS, lists of what’s new on the eBook library, and other useful articles. The blog is written by our Library Relations team and updated frequently.

PLI ListservStay informed about Discover PLUS as well as our Answer Books, Course Handbooks and Treatises by subscribing to our listserv.Messages are sent about three or four times each month. To sign up, email discoverplus@pli.edu.

Library Ledger Sign up to receive our quarterly newsletter containing updates on Discover PLUS and news about the PLI Library Relations team.
