Introduction• Cartoons have been part of all social cultures and

civilizations• Cartoons are the most continuous and effective open

source of amusement which we give to our kids• Different types of cartoons have emerged and are

further classified into five main groups as illustrative, comics strip, gag strip, animated and political

• These cartoons are often expressive, comedic, political, cultural, religious, scientific and etc.

Research• Due to absence of Pakistani cartoon channel children

have no option but to watch Indian cartoon channels• Lack of curricular activities allows children spend

more time watching cartoons• More then 80% children watch Indian cartoon• Children have got influenced by Indian cartoons and

this is the reason they lose their language and religion value and choose Hindi words while speaking

• Children spend more time watching cartoons which cause them to ran out of physical activities

Abstract• Children mind is very fast in acquiring and imitating

to anything they are exposed• Research shows how intercultural cartoons effects

on children mind• Intercultural cartoons deflect children moral, social,

lingual and religious value, after all cartoons are the most favorite entertainment for children

• Some major impact are children’s violent behavior, adoption of Hindi words and leads to poor academic performance

Research Objective• To investigate the impact of Indian cartoons on Pakistani

children• How Indian cartoons are promoting Indian culture and

Hinduism in Pakistani society• Create awareness for parents to monitor the nature and

timing of the television show they allow their children to watch

• Resist the damage to children mind caused by intercultural cartoons

• To bring them towards educational programs where their moral, lingual, social, religious value will be secure

QuestionThe basic question is how Indian cartoons are effecting Pakistani children mind.Children are not just fantasizing their favorite cartoon character but also try to act like it whether it is a negative character or positive which leads towards corruption of children’s social, lingual and religious values.So what stand should be taken to prevent the corruption of young generation.

Hypothesis• There is a simple relationship between cartoons

and adoption of the cartoon character by children• If children are watching Indian cartoons then the

character they will adopt will be same as the cartoon which promotes Hindi language and Hinduism

• This is the reason that young generation choose Hindi words while speaking and their religious views had diminished

• This also makes children behave ill manner if they are not able to watch their favorite cartoons

Theoretical FrameworkChildren keenly observe what cartoons actions describe. Children watch cartoons for entertainment therefore they prefer those cartoons which are understandable in terms of language, that is why Pakistani children prefer to watch Hindi version cartoons and while watching Hindi version they adapt Hindi as their language and due to Hindu concept in the cartoon child loses his religious value as wellFollowing picture shows some of the Indian and Hindi dubbed cartoons on air in Pakistan
