Sunday, July 28, the tiny EastDenver Bible Baptist Churchwas in for a big surprise!Their congregation of 60-75 people tripled to 235

people, 106 of whom werechildren! Where did all thepeople come from? They

were children and familieswho had gone to one of the5-Day Clubs the church had

hosted that week as part of theCEF Good News Across America

    outreach!

But things hadnt looked so promisingat the beginning of the week. Ministry

    coordinator Mike Worley wrote:

We met with Pastor Loren Richmond at thechurch and prayed with him for his church and for

the outreach. Then we went to the club sites to hand out fliers to invite the children. Aswe walked through the neighborhoods, some of the younger missionaries began to feelafraid. I have to admit my wife and I were concerned because of the violence, drugs

and gang presence in that community. But we knew God had sent us. God wouldprotect us. God wanted these children to know about Him.

On Tuesday of 5-Day Clubweek we went to the 7 Star Motel. Soon after club starteda gang fight broke out right next door. We saw a man grab a baseball bat and goafter a group of men. A man in the second group showed a gun. There was a standofffor a few minutes; we ushered the children into one of the motel rooms and gatheredthe ministry team, preparing to leave for a safe place. We prayed and the police soonshowed up. About 15 minutes later we brought the kids back out and finished the club!

One of the boys received Jesus as Savior amidst all that was going on!Soon after club began the next day an ambulance came right to the motel with sirensblasting. The mom of the boy who received Jesus the day before was in medical distress. He and his sister sat in club while the EMTs attended to her. We prayed with them fortheir mom. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital, leaving the childrens aunt incharge of them, and the children stayed and listened to the Word of God. That daythe sister placed her trust in Jesus as her Savior! The next day their mom was back; thechildrens and our prayers were answered. Both children attended club all week andthey were at the rally on Friday.

Although feeling upset and mistreated in the free country of Korea, the evangelistsgave thanks to God. CEF of Korea had recognized that the huge Yeosu Expo 2012was a golden opportunity to reach children for Christ. They designed folding fans with thehistory of the Yeosu Expo and the complete Gospel message on them.

After being expelled from the fair, they did not give up! They bought more tickets, enteredagain and continued evangelizing. Who could hinder them from carrying on their mission? During theeighth week, God sent the most evangelists as well as the most visitors and children to the Expo.

How could Satan just remain aspectator? The harassment fromthe guards began again. Theychecked all bags at the entrance. No evangelists could enterbecause each of them had 50to 100 Gospel folding fans andbrochures/tracts in their bags. They could do nothing but prayin the desperate situation. Urgentprayer requests were deliveredto the intercessory prayer groups.

Oh Lord, please cover the guardseyes and open the way for your servants, they prayed.

Suddenly the clear sky grew dark and stormy. Thunder rolled and lightningflashed. The weather became so severe that even umbrellas were useless. Thesecurity guards rushed to cover their expensive security check scanners, and the vast number of visitors pressing to get in and escape the rain madethe security check impossible. The evangelists were able to enter with norestrictions. Soon after all the evangelists had entered, the weather cleared upand the land dried quickly.

Who can stop Gods passion to save souls, and how can we not praise hisfaithfulness? said Jeremiah Cho, national director of CEF of Korea.

Over a period of nine weeks 450 evangelists from across Korea came to theExpo. They used the fans to share the Gospel with 40,000 children. They alsocirculated 100,000 Gospel tracts entitled The Secret of the Aquarium.

It was tremendously moving for us to look around and see that almost everychild at the Expo had heard the Gospel and was holding a fan in his or herhand. The Secret of the Aquarium appealed to many children because theaquarium was the most popular display at the Expo. We did not see even oneof the 100,000 tracts discarded on the ground. We could notstop praising the Lord, who changed the Yeosu Expo into theGospel Expo, Jeremiah added.
