Impact Hub Amsterdam is part of the fast-growing global Impact Hub network of impact entrepreneurs and innovators with more than 16,000 members in over 100 cities around the world.

To make change happen, we facilitate entrepreneurial solutions to society’s biggest challenges. We give access to a valuable network, as well as business expertise, resources and capital, organise events, host a collaborative working space, and run a series of accelerator programs. Actually everything to move entrepreneurial initiatives for a better world forward.

From our home at KIT - the Royal Tropical Institute - we welcome 10,000 guests, host more than 250 impact events and accelerate more than 150 enterprises each year. Since 2008, we’ve helped more than a thousand entrepreneurs to start, grow and scale their impact business.

Located at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT), Impact Hub Amsterdam is the perfect place for any event from a high profile launch to an intimate creative workshop. Impact Hub Amsterdam offers 600m2 of dedicated event spaces with 3 meeting rooms and 2 event spaces. All spaces are located ground level, at the Oosterpark, with a lot of daylight, sustainable design and high-quality food and beverages. The event spaces can hold up to 350 people and all rooms are equipped with the latest amenities. PLAZA - Cosy & BuzzingThe Plaza is our daily open space where people meet and eat, where they find coffee and inspiration, where the vibrant exchange of knowledge and information takes place. In the summer you can wind down on the private terrace overlooking the Oosterpark. The Plaza is also available for exclusive drinks, buffet and informal presentations from 5:00 pm daily.

FORUM - Large & InspiringThe Forum is our biggest event space for formal and informal gatherings, where diverse topics of social significance are explored. An ideal space for speakers and presentations, discussions and dialogues, films and performances. It’s at ground level, overlooking the private terrace and Oosterpark and has flexible room dividers for optimal use. Conveniently located next door to the Plaza for drinks after your event.

FOUNDERS ROOM - Exclusive & Intimate The Founders room is an excellent room for meetings, conference calls and small brainstorm session. Sink into our comfortable executive chairs and you will be able to focus in a private atmosphere.

OLLIE & SOMOHO - Elegant & QuietOllie and Somoho are our two elegant & quiet workshop rooms. Both conveniently located at ground level with high ceilings and a serene, green view of the garden and Oosterpark. Ideal for full-, half- or multi-day meetings where you need a self-contained space.

What Ollie & Somoho offerBoth meeting rooms offer a quiet and flexible space for interactive sessions, workshops and trainings in different setups. The meeting rooms are equipped with a whiteboard, projector, screen and wifi. Want to mingle with community? Ask for the option to enjoy your lunch / snacks in the plaza.

Story behind the namesOllie is the name of our ‘elephant in the room’, which represents our approach to meetings: make the most of them, take about what really matters, and don’t back away from the big issues sitting at the centre!

Somoho originally comes from ‘Soweto Mountain of Hope’, where the habitants at Sowety, a disrupted township under Johannesburg, used the practice of community building to revive the area. It’s an important place in the origin story of Impact Hub.
