    WARNING: Riding the iMod can be a hazardous activity.Certain conditions may cause the equipment to ail without ault o themanuacturer. Like other electric vehicles, the iMod can and is intended tomove, and it is thereore possible to lose control, all o and/or get intodangerous situations that no amount o care, instruction or expertise caneliminate. I such things occur you can be seriously injured or die, even whenusing saety equipment and other precautions. RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISKAND USE COMMON SENSE.

    This manual contains many warnings and cautions concerning the

    consequences o ailing to maintain, inspect or properly use your iMod.Because any incident can result in serious injury or even death, we do notrepeat the warning o potential serious injury or death each time such apossibility is mentioned.

    APPROPRIATE RIDER USE ANDPARENTAL SUPERVISIONThis manual contains important saety inormation. It is your responsibilityto review this inormation and make sure that all riders understand allwarnings, cautions, instructions and saety topics and assure that youngriders are able to saely and responsibly use this product. Razor recommendsthat you periodically review and reinorce the inormation in this manualwith younger riders, and that you inspect and maintain your childrensvehicle to insure their saety.

    The recommended rider age o 12 and older or iMod is only an estimate,and can be aected by the riders size, weight or skills. Any rider unable to tcomortably on the iMod should not attempt to ride it. A parents decisionto allow his or her child to ride this product should be based on thechilds maturity, skill and ability to follow rules.

    Keep this product away rom small children and remember that this productis intended or use only by persons who are, at a minimum, completelycomortable and competent while operating the vehicle.

    DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 170 pounds (77kg).Rider weight does not necessarily mean a persons size is appropriate to tor maintain control o the iMod.

    Do not touch the motor on your iMod when in use as it can become very hot.

    Reer to the section on saety or additional warnings.

    ACCEPTABLE RIDING PRACTICES ANDCONDITIONSAlways check and obey any local laws or regulations which may aectthe locations where the iMod may be used on public property. The iMod ismeant to be used only in controlled environments ree o potential trachazards and not on public streets or sidewalks. Do not ride your iMod in anyareas where pedestrian or vehicle trac is present.

    Ride deensively. Watch out or potential obstacles that could catch yourwheel or orce you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Be careul to avoidpedestrians, skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children or animals whomay enter your path, and respect the rights and property o others.

    Do not attempt or do stunts or tricks on your iMod. The iMod is not made towithstand abuse rom misuse such as jumping, curb grinding or any othertype o stunts.

    Maintain a hold on the handlebars at all times.

    Never carry passengers or allow more than one person at a time to ride theiMod.

    Keep your ngers and other body parts away rom the drive chain, steeringsystem, wheels and all other moving components.

    Never use headphones, earbuds or a cell phone when riding.

    Not suited or video iPod use.

    Give ull attention to riding. Stop riding and turn o the iMod power switch too beore adjusting volume or changing channels.

    Never attempt to access iPod compartment while riding.

    Never hitch a ride with another vehicle.

    Do not ride the iMod in wet weather and never immerse the iMod in water, asthe electrical and drive components could be damagedby water or create other possibly unsae conditions.

    The iMod is intended or use on solid, fat, clean and dry suraces such aspavement or level ground without loose debris such as rocks or gravel. Neveruse near steps or swimming pools. Wet, slick or uneven and rough suraces

    may impair traction and contribute to possible accidents. Do not ride the iModin mud, ice, puddles or water. Avoid excessive speeds that can be associatedwith downhill rides. Never risk damaging suraces such as carpet or fooringby use o a iMod indoors.

    Do not ride at night or when visibility is impaired.

    PROPER RIDING ATTIREAlways wear proper protective equipment such as an approved saety helmet.Elbow pads and kneepads are recommended. A helmet may be legallyrequired by local law or regulation in your area. Always wear shoes, neverdrive bareooted or in sandals, and keep shoelaces tied and out o the way othe wheels, motor and drive system.

    USING THE CHARGERThe charger supplied with the iMod should be regularly examined or damageto the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts, and in the event o such damage,the iMod must not be charged until the charger has been repaired or replaced.

    Use only with the recommended charger.

    Use caution when charging. Do not exceed charging time.

    The charger is not a toy. Charger should be operated by an adult.

    Do not operate charger near fammable materials.

    Unplug charger and disconnect rom the battery operated product when not inuse.

    Always disconnect rom the charger prior to wiping down and cleaning yourscooter with liquid.

    Remove contents rom box. Remove the oam separators that protect the components rom damage during shipping.Inspect the contents o the box or scratches in the paint, dents or kinked cables that may have occurred duringshipping. Because the iMod was 95 percent assembled and packed at the actory, there should not be any problems,even i the box has a ew scars or dents.

    Estimated Assembly and Set-Up Time

    Razor recommends assembly by an adult with experience in bicycle mechanics.Allow up to 15 minutes or assembly, not including initial charge time.Allow up to 18 hours or initial charge (see page 3 or charging inormation).

    ASSEMBLY AND SET-UP

    qCharging the BatteryYour iMod may not have a ully charged battery; thereore it is a good idea to charge the battery prior to use. Initialchargetime:18hours Runtime:upto40minutesRechargetime:upto12hours Averagebatterylife:250charge/dischargecycles

    1Turn o power switch beorecharging. Plug the charger into thecharger port on the iMod.

    2Plug the charger plug into a walloutlet.

    WARNING:Rechargeable batteries are only tobe charged under adult supervision.Always disconnect your iMod romthe charger beore cleaning withliquid.

    Note:I your charger does notlook like the one illustrated,your unit has been suppliedwith an alternative charger.The specications and chargingprocedure would not change.

    The charger has a small windowwith one LED or two LEDs toindicate the charge status. Reerto the illustration on the chargerunit or the actual charging andcharged status indications oryour model charger.

    Chargers have built-in over-chargeprotection to prevent battery rombeing over-charged.

    Be sure to properly align thegroove on the charger inputplug with the correspondingsocket on the case; otherwise,no charging action will occur.

    WARNING: Failing toproperly adjust and tighten the

    bolts that ax the handlebar cancause you to lose control and all.

    1Remove the plastic cover endo the handlebars beore insertingthe handlebars. Insert handlebarassembly through ront airing andinto ork until it stops. Raise to de-sired height keeping the handlebarsand airing aligned within the red

    arrows o the saety zone.

    2Tighten down the hexagonalbolt with the 6mm hexagonal keywrench.

    1Adjust the rear view mirrorsocket into xed place and tightendown hal hexagonal bolts with3mm hexagonal key wrench.

    2Insert the rear view mirror intosockets and tighten down the nutswith 14mm supplied wrench.

    Check the Razor web site or any updates on the latest repair and maintenance procedures.Turn power switch off before conducting any maintenance procedures.

    qAdjusting the Brakes

    1To adjust the play, thread thebrake lever adjuster in or out 1/4to 1/2 turn until the desired brakeadjustment is attained. Mostadjustments are complete at thisstep. I brake still needs urtheradjustment, proceed to step 2.

    2 I the brake lever adjuster isthreaded outward and the brakestill has too much slack, use therear brake adjuster or additionaladjustment.

    WARNING:The brakeis capable o skidding the tire andthrowing an unsuspecting rider.

    Practice in an open area ree romobstacles until you are amiliar withthe brake unction. Avoid skiddingto a stop as this can cause you tolose control or damage the rear tire.

    Note:The brake lever contains asaety switch to stop the motorwhen the brake is applied. In anemergency, applying the brakewill always stop the motor. Do notdisable or replace this lever withanything other than a genuine Razorreplacement part.

    qTesting the BrakesTo use the brake, squeeze the lever to increase the pressure on the brake. The brake lever is tted with a cable adjusterto compensate or cable stretch and/or to ne-tune the lever movement to brake engagement. I brake is not engagingproperly, ollow instructions or adjusting the brakes below.

    1Remove the packing materialrom the ront ork.

    2Insert the wheel into the rontork with the lock washers on theoutside o the ork.

    3Insert the tab on the lockwasher into the hole on the rontork and tighten the nuts with thesupplied wrenches.

    ASSEMBLY AND SET-UP

    qChecking Spoke Tension

    1 Veriy spoke tension by grasping and shacking each spoke. Spokeshould not be loose rom hub. Look or any play between spoke fangeand hub. Try to turn nipple using your ngers. You should not be able toturn any nipple by hand. Check all spokes and tighten i necessary.

    2 Start with spoke closest to tire valveand tighten each nipple. In sequence,exactly 1/4 to 1/2 turn. A single 1/4 to1/2 turn may not be enough to bring thespokes into proper tension. Continuetightening all spokes no more than 1/2turn in sequence until all spokes aretight.

    WARNING:Regularlycheck the spoke tension and

    retighten the spokes wheneverloose. I you have any doubt, ask anexperienced motorcycle or bicyclemechanic to inspect your spokesto determine i the spokes needtightening or adjusting.

    Note:Tightening each nipple morethan a 1/2 turn each can cause thewheel to become distorted andwobbly thus permanently damagingthe wheel.

    qInating the TiresTires are infated when shipped, but they invariably lose some pressure between the point o manuacturing andyour purchase.

    1Using a bicycle style tire pumpequipped or a Schrader-type valve,infate the tires to the PSIindicated on the sidewall o thetires.

    Note:The pressurized air suppliesound at gasoline stations aredesigned to infate high-volumeautomobile tires. I you decide touse such an air supply to infateyour iMod tires, rst make sure thepressure gauge is working, thenuse very short bursts to infate tothe correct PSI. I you inadvertentlyover-infate the tire, release theexcess pressure immediately.

    ASSEMBLY AND SET-UP

    qAttaching your iPod

    qInstalling batteries or speakers

    1Open the battery port locatedunder the power controller. Install4AA batteries in the battery port.(Batteries not included)

    1Open the iPod compartment andattach player to the 30 pin connec-tor. Place the iPod in the compart-ment and securely asten the cover.

    REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

    4 With two 15mm wrenches,loosen the axle. Push the wheelorward in the slots to loosen thechain.

    5Pull the wheel out. Note thearrangement o the hardwaresequence.Note: Your hands will get greasydoing this.

    6Install the new chain or wheelby slipping the chain around theaxle. Slide the axle into the slotson the rame. Slide the wheelorward and maneuver the chainonto the rear sprocket, rontsprocket and chain tensioner.

    qChain and Rear Tire ReplacementTools required: Phillips screwdriver, 10mm wrench, two (2) 8mm wrenches, and two (2) 17mm wrenches.

    1With a Phillips screwdriver,remove the screws that secure thechainguard. Remove chainguard.

    2With a 8mm wrench, loosen thebrake cable anchor anddisconnect the cable.

    3 With two 10mm wrenches,loosen brake housing anchor anddisconnect. Keep the spacer andwashers together.

    7Tighten the brake housinganchor securely.

    8Re-attach the chain guard. Testride and check. Readjust as needed.

    qBattery Care and DisposalDo not store the battery in temperatures above 75 or below -10 F.

    CONTAINS SEALED LEAD ACID BATTERIES. BATTERIES MUST BE RECYCLED.

    Disposal: Your Razor product uses sealed lead-acid batteries which must be recycled or disposed o in anenvironmentally sound manner. Do not dispose o a lead-acid battery in a re. The battery may explode or leak. Do notdispose o a lead-acid battery in your regular household trash. The incineration, land lling or mixing o sealed lead-acid batteries with household trash is prohibited by law in most areas. Return exhausted batteries to a ederal or state

    approved lead-acid battery recycler or a local seller o automotive batteries. I you live in Florida or Minnesota, it isprohibited by law to throw away lead-acid batteries in the municipal waste stream.

    qChargerThe transormer/charger supplied with the iMod should be regularly examined or damage to the cord, plug, enclosureand other parts, and, in the event o such damage, the iMod must not be charged until it has been repaired or replaced.

    Use ONLY with the recommended charger.

    qReplacement PartsThe most requently requested replacement parts (wheels, tires, tubes, batteries and chargers) are available orpurchase at some Razor retail partners or online at www.razor.com.

    WARNING:I a batteryleak develops, avoid contact withthe leaking acid and place thedamaged battery in a plastic bag.Reer to the disposal instructions atlet. I acid comes into contact withskin or eyes, fush with cool wateror at least 15 minutes and contact

    a physician.

    REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

    q Replacing the FuseWARNING:

    To prevent shock or short circuit,please ollow the instructionsaccordingly and do not skip orcombine any steps.

    2 Lit up the seat and remove thestorage compartment.

    5 Close the use cover. Replacethe storage compartment and closethe seat cover.

    4Remove the use and replacewith a new one o equalamperage.Note: Amperage rating islocated on top o use. Fuse mustbe replaced with one o equalamperage.

    iMod does not run

    iMod was running butsuddenly stopped

    Charge the battery. A new battery should have been charged or at least 18hours beore using the vehicle or the rst time and up to 12 hours ater eachsubsequent use.

    Check all connections. Make sure the charger is tightly plugged into thecharging port on the iMod, and that the charger is plugged into the wall.

    Make sure power fow to the wall outlet is on.

    You may check to see i your charger is working by using a volt meter orasking your local Razor authorized service center to test your charger or you.

    Check all wires and connectors to make sure they are tight.

    The use will burn out and automatically shut o the power i the motor isoverloaded.An excessive overload, such as too heavy a rider or too steep a hill, couldcause the motor to overheat. Replace the use with a new one o equal

    amperage. Correct the conditions that caused the use to burn out and avoidrepeatedly burning out use.

    Contact your local Razor authorized service center or diagnosis and repair.

    Charge the battery. A new battery should have been charged or at least 18hours beore using the vehicle or the rst time and up to 12 hours ater eachsubsequent use.Check all wires and connectors. Make sure the battery connector is tightlyplugged into the charger connector and that the charger is plugged intothe wall.

    Make sure power fow to the wall outlet is on.

    Even with proper care, a rechargeable battery does not last orever. Averagebattery lie is 1 to 2 years depending on iMod use and conditions. Replaceonly with a Razor replacement battery.

    Use only on solid, fat, clean and dry suraces such as pavement or levelground.

    The tires are infated when shipped, but they invariably will lose somepressure between the point o manuacturing and your purchase.Reer to instructions on page 5.

    Make sure you do not overload the iMod by allowing more than one riderat one time, exceeding the 170 lb. maximum weight limit, going up a hillor towing objects behind the iMod. I the iMod is overloaded, the use willblow.

    No action required. This is normal or some chargers and is no cause orconcern. I your charger does not get warm during use, it does not meanthat it is not working properly.

    Reer to instructions on page 6 o this manual to properly adjust chain andsprocket.

    Apply a lubricant such as 3 in 1TM

    or Tri-FlowTM

    to the chain.

    get a fat tire, the inner tube can be patched ora new tube can be purchased rom Razor or an

    authorized repair center.

    Loose PartsThere should not be any unusual rattles or soundsrom loose parts or broken components. I you are not

    sure, ask an experienced mechanic to check.

    BrakeCheck the brake or proper unction. When yousqueeze the lever, the brake should provide positive

    braking action. When you apply the brake with thespeed control on, the brake cut-o switch will stop

    the motor.

    Frame, Fork and HandlebarsCheck or cracks or broken connections. Although

    broken rames are rare, it is possible or an aggressive

    driver to bash into a curb or wall and wreck and bendor break a rame. Get in the habit o inspecting yoursregularly.
