This information is being published in. order to provide:

a. data useful in the identification of Hitler or his remains;b. knowledge needed to expose those frauds vho in later years may claim

to be Hitler, or who may claim to have seen him or talked to him;c. research material for the historian, the doctor and the scientist

interested in Hitler.

Descriptions of the teeth of Eva BRLUN and Martin BORELNN are appendedas Lnnexes II and III for the pur: .ose of assisting identification of theirremains, if found. The fact that they were intimates of Hitler and with himduring the last days of the Battle of Berlin proMpts inclusion of thismaterial.

a. Introduction: Source

(NOTE: For details of Source's career see .iainx IV)

Dr Hugo Johannes B.U.SCI-C.E.; was a Brigadefuehrer (Leader of a Brigade)and Brig Gen in the Waffen-SS. He was called in to treat Hitler by Hermann.GOERING in the early part of 1934- He was Hitler's dentist from that timeuntil his departure from the Reichs Chancellory and BERLIN during the night.of 20-21 Lpr 45. His last treatment of Hitler was some time in mid-February,1945. Neither he nor anybody else is believed to have treated the ruehrcrafter that 'Ulm.

The description of Hitler's teeth was made by BL.SC= rith the aid ofX-ray pictures of Hitler's head taken on 19 Scp . 44 (See Lnnex III of 1.b.

-55f- above.) Source's infrmation on Hitl:r's teeth is consiCtred reliable.

BLLSCEICE was interned on 28 May 45 and interrogated during 'November andDecember of 1945.

(b) Replacements

The following rcp1ccments wcre present in .1,pril 1945:

Upper Right Jaw: bridge, extrending from central incisorto 2nd bicuspid and consisting of thefollowing elements:

2 Golden back part, frontal porcelainfacet over space of missing lateral incisor. it

3 Full gold crown over cuspid,

Full gold crown ovcr 1st bicuspid,

TR11-TIVINTS Or HITLER

bouice: BLZCHKE, Dr Hugo Johannes Position: Brig Gen in -laffen SS, Hitler'sdentist

(I,A:.TE: The following is a translation of notes written for this reportby BL.:4.SCHia, giving Hitler's abridged cape history as a dental patient in the

:years 1934 to 194.)

In the beginning of the year 1934 I ras, at the instance of the then.(Prussian) Prime Minister GGERIIJG, called to the Reich Chancellery. I was told, that i.dolf Hitler had a toothache: Upon examination I found a swelling of the.gingiva of the left lower jar, extending from the left central incisor to theleft cuspid. The lowe• left lateral incisor had at its distal end a cavitywhich extended as far as the pulp cavity. The pulp was dead and the toothsensitive to pressure. 41 loer incisors, euecially the ones on the left, were very loose.

"The pains could be caused either by an abscess in the area of the root-tips or by an abscess in the gingival pocket of the lower left lateral incisor.

"Lfter opening of the root canal 'and removal of an abundance of tartar theTeins soon decreased in intensity and diseppeared completely over night.

"The :,-ray photos showed the following: a lentil-sized light spot aroundthe tip of the root of the lower left lateral incisor. Strong atrophy of thelvcoli, most pronounced around the lower right central incisor and the lower

left'central and lateral incisors...

"During the follorin:. days--besides the treatment of the root of the lowertleft lateral incisor--tartc:r was thoroughly. The gingivitis healed and thejteeth became steadier and again fit for use. The treatment of the root took alialormal course. The tooth was filled witI. iodoform-paste ( alkhoff) and temp-liprarily closed...

"In the upper jaw much more extensive work was necessry. There existed oneither side bridges which were connected by an arch behind the left incisors.

Three fourths of the upper left lateral incisor was broken off. The arch con-:heating the to bridges caused annoyance because food particles got caught in• it easily. The ,Iingive had rece, ded considerably from the edges of the existinggold crowns, so that the necks of the teeth were exposed. Caries had started at

. some of these points.

"The old bridges had to be removed and replaced, les the upper right central

, incisor was Elready absent and replaced by pert of the bridge and es, in add-ition, the lateral incisor was 3/4 broken off,' the gaps would have impeded

speech. Litler . refused a temporary replacement through a removable dental platefor the period Of manufacture (of the new replacements). It was then poesibleto remove both bridges in their entirety. They were taken out at each sittingand temporarily fastened again aftervard. The root of the upper left laterulincisor, Mich had to be completely removed for the fitting-on of the new crown, received a temporary pivot-tooth.

Color of Teeth

(NOTE: The color symbols used are those of the S.&.WHIT: color ringfor dentists.)

All natural teeth and replacements had the color "21".

NOTE:;,: 1. BUSCIIEL considers it possible that the upper right 1st molarwas lost in early youth, causing the 2nd and 3rd molars to move forrardand close the gap. In that case there would be present (starting from 1stbicus .)id)lst and 2nd bicuspid, 2nd and 3rd molars.

2. The same possibilit. exists for the loTer left jaw.

C C.; :0' T. L.rf I L

OI.- FIR/91

Thc . picture shored a surprise formation of a deep pocket around the wholeroot, almost as far as the tip of the root. There must, consequcntly, have beenan inflammation of this tooth in existLnce for the last months. It either didnot ceose any pain, or the pain--rrongly diagnosed as neur.: . 1gic--was killedthrou.-.th obtundents. Despite thorough questionixv I could not get a clear pic-ture of the history of these pains from Hitler. He disliked intensely talkingabout his health.

h I Wanted earliest possible extraction of the toctL... .e ad to postpone .this, however, because Hitler's general condition did not permit an operationof this kind...

".*.t the end of October (1944) I ebtained, after repeated reminders, per-mission to perform the extraction.

"The Old bridge on the left upper jar was then cut in front of the Eoldcrown on the 2nd bicuspiC'... The tooth, together vith the cut-off pert of thebridge, tame out very easily... • "

"On the occasion of this trentrent I insisted that the . treatment of theroot of the upper left central incisor . be at last brought to an end, so thatunnecessary complications could be avoided... I was promised that I would be

I called vithin the next few reel:s. I actually did receive the order, on 15 .December 1944, to report at the headquarters; vJlers I arrived On 16 December. The headquarters was then in the Test, in the vicinity of GIESSEN. Since theoffensive in the West hed Started that morning I did not treat him...

"From the middle of January 1945 Hitler was constantly in the BerlinReich GhancellerY. Lgain and again he postponed the treatmenfof the upper left'incisor. He came once to the dental station for a short while in mid-Februaryfor a superficial examination. Besides the.mmoval of tartar on the lower .incisors. no treatment was performed on that occasion."

(B.L.,:SCHKE.'s statement on files containing cards nd X-ray photos of hispatients at the Reich Chancellery follows.)

"The patients' file . cards as well as thi44ray pictures Of their.teeth were, since the middle. of January 1945, constantly kept at the dental station in theVoss-Strcsse shelter of the Reich Chancellery..

G On the night of 20/21 January 1945, I was ordered to be ready formovement, with a mihimuM of baggage, within an hour. I was helped in packinthc little portable den,tal station which I wanted to take with me by my dentalhelper, birs 1V.ethe LLUSEFC.M ., and myassistant, Dr ROHKI.MM. It is possible andeven likely that the files v.ere put in the same box as the dental station. 17y

baggage was then supposed to be sent from the Tempelhof sirfield to SI.LZBURGin a transpert plane carrying baggage exclusively. This plane never arrived at54.1,72RURG, anc from the Oberealzbirg it could never be ascertained what hadbecome of it.L

The upper right central incisor was missing. It had been lost about 1942.Since the gap had to be closed immediately, temporary window-crowns were madefor the upper left central incisor and the upper right lateral incisor. Themissin, tooth was replaced by a procelain facet on a golden back part.

Since all upper incisors were 1:occ or less loosened by paredentosis, abri6t.;e-suppert was planned extehding from cuspi& to cuspid. As, however, theloosening of the incisors progressed slowly, the temporary arrangement provedsatisfactory and the bridge v y s neveY made.
