Immersion at JudgemeadowAn overview
• MBU visited Canada in 2002 to see French Immersion taking place in Canadian schools.
• Immersion French introduced (1 mixed ability group in year 7) in 2003.
• 1 year 7 mixed ability group every year since.• Pupils have their normal allocation of 3
French lessons per week taught by their form tutor. In addition, form time, PHSE and their ICT lessons are conducted in the Target Language.
• Pupils take their French GCSE in year 9.• They are given the opportunity to study A/S
French in year 10 and 11.
