TIME: 8pm till 8am (Closing with Holy Mass at 8:15 am)
PRAYER INTENTIONS: Our country's return to Christian morals! Peace and healing of violence and terror in our cities and the world!
NEEDS: Individuals who are able and willing to stay the entire night and say the rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet every hour on the hour. The remaining time may be spent praying your individual prayers or visiting with our Lord in adoration. CONTACT: Mary Brunt (575) 527-9123 Gloria Lithgow (575) 522-1532 While we realize many cannot stay the entire 12 hours, any time you can spend in prayer and adoration would be a huge blessing and would help in this worthwhile prayer event.
May Our Lord Jesus and Our Blessed Mother's Blessings be with you to help us succeed in reaching the goals of these intentions by sacrificing your time and devotion.
From Pope Francis in the encyclical Laudato Si (2015) paragraph 117 & 118 / presented by Social Justice Ministry of C-IHM
The culture of relativism is the same disorder which drives one person to take advantage of
another, to treat others as mere objects, imposing forced labor on them or enslaving them to pay their debts. The same kind of thinking leads to the sexual exploitation of children and abandonment of the elderly who no longer serve our interests.

the Holy Land. They will also be offering some
beautiful olive wood carvings which are all
handmade by the Catholic community over there.
This is a Church mission to maintain the existence of
the Catholic people in the Holy Land.
Catholics used to be the majority over there but the

SAINT PETER OF ALCANTARA (1499-1562)
Patron of Eucharistic Adoration October 26
Peter studied law at Salamanca University and, at 16, joined the Observant Franciscans (also known as the discalced, or barefoot, friars). While he practiced many penances, he also demonstrated abilities which were soon recognized. He was named the superior of a
new house before his ordination as a priest; at the age of 39, he was elected provincial; he was a very successful preacher. He was not above washing dishes and cutting wood for the friars. He did not seek attention; he preferred solitude. Peter’s penitential side was evident when it came to food and clothing. It is said that he slept 90 minutes each night. While others talked about Church reform, Peter’s reform began with himself. His patience was so great that a proverb arose: "To bear such an insult one must have the patience of Peter of Alcantara." In 1554, Peter, having received permission, formed a group of Franciscans who followed the Rule of St. Francis with even greater rigor. These friars were known as Alcantarines. Some of the Spanish friars who joined them were members of this group. At the end of the 19th century, the Alcantarines were joined with other Observant friars to form the Order of Friars Minor. As spiritual director to St. Teresa, Peter encouraged her in promoting the Carmelite reform. His preaching
brought many people to religious life, especially to the Secular Franciscan Order, the friars and the Poor Clare's. He was canonized in 1669.
