THIS WEEK

You have seen that our church doors were beautifully coated to protect from further damage during winter. This was done as a donation to our parish by our very own parishioner; Francis Paolangeli. This is just a temporary fix for now. He has promised to ship them out for a more detailed fix which will include some repair on the damaged spots. We thank him for his generosity. He is also helping us fix the church main entrance stairs. We anticipate major repairs to our church in the very near future.

Faith growth and deepening 6.United Nation 2. Healing from past misdeeds 7. Refuges and migrants 3. Peace and reconciliation 8.Senoirs & homebound 4. Vocation 9. Mass with the Bishop 5. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our parishioners from the entire parish staff. Thanksgiving is a time to thank God for all His blessings. Do we thank God enough for all His gifts: our faith, family, friends, country in which we dwell, the love that unites us, the food we share, the grace to go through life with all its complexities? The list is endless…….. Thanksgiving is festivities and much more! It is time to pray in gratitude to God. It is also time to express and share a deeper meaning of togetherness with family and friends, and even strangers who have no one to share life with. A very Happy and joy-filled Thanksgiving to one and all! The office will close at 12:30pm on Wednesday, November 21 and remain closed on Thursday and Friday so Staff can enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday.

"Colliding Black Holes and Keeping the Sabbath Holy,"

Science OR Religion? This is the great debate of our time. There is a push in our society toward the idea that science is the only truth and that God is just an

antiquated idea preventing further scientific progress. Many hold that science and religion cannot coexist. Dante Iozzo, Immaculate Conception parishioner and doctoral student in the Cornell Physics and Astronomy Departments will deliver a presentation entitled "Colliding Black Holes and Keeping the Sabbath Holy," on Thursday, November 29th at 7:00 p.m. in Carges Hall, discussing how science, religion, and the third commandment all fit together. This is a great event even for parents and teens. Come and share in this ever more urgent discussion, and find out how we can gain a deeper faith through science.
