UCN Business and UCN Technology s instructions for students who did not manage to complete exams and courses on timer a, Students should be aware that failure to appear for an exam or failure to hand in a project or a paper will cost them one attempt out of the three exam attempts that are standard, and they might have to pay a registration fee. Full-fee students: b. Like all other students, a full-fee paying student may re-sit for his/her 2nd and 3d attempt, but they are not entitled to free tuition in between attempts. They might also have to pay a registration fee in order to re-sit an exam, This means that a student who fails can sit for exams again twice - but that the student can only follow tuition by paying for the semester again. c. Like all other students, a full-fee paying student who failed the 2nd semester general exam, but paid for semesters 3 and 4 can continue studies and go into internship and start on a final exam project - but there can be no exam in the final project and thus no diploma until all exams prior to the final exam project have been passed. UCN Business and UCN Technologyt networks set the dates for the re-sit exams. d. If a student cannot pay for the 2nd year, he/she may take leave for a year and then come back to the course after having paid in May that year, e. If a full-fee student failed the Znd semester general exam and proceeded to go on leave, he or she may ask for special permission to go to re-sit exams in the autumn semester. f. UCN Business and UCN Technology does not guarantee that a student visa or other residence permit is granted - this is solely the decision of the Danish Immigration Office. In case of doubt the Student is referred to the International Office at UCN Business and UCN Technology. Article B. Students are required to register the address and telephone number of their accommodation once they are enrolled at UCN Business and UCN Technology. Students who change their address and telephone number of their accommodation during the period of their stay in the country must register the change at the Administration Office. Each student will be issued with a student card, which will serve as a means of identification and gives access to UCN Business and UCN Technology s services and facilities. Article 9. UCN Business and UCN Technology will - Use endeavours to provide the Student with teaching, supervision, assessment and support services of a professional standard in the personal course of study (the programme) for which the Student is enrolled. - Assist in finding accommodation prior to arrival, and once arrived assist in finding accommodation for those students having a temporary accommodation. - Assist the students, whenever necessary, with official Danish formalities, registration, information, etc, It stays the student s sole responsibility to secure legal basis for the studies at UCN Business and UCN Technology - a valid study/work permit. - Provide access for the students to the libraries and other UCN Business and UCN Technology services and facilities. - Have staff and tutors/buddies available to support students with practical matters in order to get settled in Denmark. Article 10. The contents of the AP Degree Programme in Multimedia Design and Communication + the curriculum of the programme in question appear at UCN s official web page www.ucnorth.dk. It is the student s responsibility to carefully read the curriculum before signing this Student Contract. However, the programme description may undergo the process of inor amendments, The students will be given home assignments, case studies and group work. It is essential that the student is able to work in groups. Homework, case studies and group work can in many instances be undertaken within UCN Business and UCN Technologyt premises where students have access 7 days a week - day and night. The only official language used in the classroom by teachers and students will be English. The students will have to pass all compulsory exams/tests/assessments included in the AP Degree Programme in order to remain eligible for the full period of studies. All students shall abide by the rules governing the conduct of UCN Business and UCN Technology examinations specified in the Examination Regulations. Article 11. After successful completion of all the exams of the AP Degree Programme the Student will receive a diploma issued by UCN Business and UCN Technology. This diploma, recognized by the Danish Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Ministry of Culture, awards ECTS credits and can be used as accreditation for further academic studies in the selected profile of studies, Student Contract Multimedia Design and Communication 2013-2015
