We can help escort your group into the theatre, collect any catering you may have ordered, and assist with set up and cleaning of the party room.
Please note; as amazing as our staff are, they are not children’s entertainers and are only there to assist the adults in the running of the event.
Add cateringHave your party catered by our friends at Restaurant Associates! Packages start at $16 per child. Food will be delivered to the party room at the time requested by you (and will be set up if you order a dedicated IMAX staff member). Ask us for more details!

Terms & conditionsPayment is required on the day of your visit. Sessions are subject to availability.
IMAX Theatre does not allow naked flames in the building, therefore birthday candles with flames cannot be used. Helium balloons and piñatas are also prohibited. Parties are welcome to decorate the function room so long as it may be returned to its normal state after the party. Please BYO blu-tack.
Access to IMAX Melbourne is available from 9:30am to help facilitate set up and payment. You are welcome to bring your own cake. If doing so please ensure you provide your own plates and cutlery.
IMAX requires a minimum of 1 adult supervisor for every 10 children to accompany the birthday party group at all times, including during the film.
