Welcome to our 2014 Benefit Gala! An evening of elegance to celebrate the ISB community, an evening of generosity for the future of our institution.
With an experienced and competent Faculty, a stable and professional Leadership Team and a dedicated and fully invested Board of Trustees, with everyone’s shared enthusiasm for academic excellence, the International School of Boston is ready to meet the educational challenges of today and tomorrow.
Imagine the fundamental role of our teachers in a world where technology is accelerating, where our students are learning much faster than their parents innovative concepts which profoundly alter our ways of approaching and understanding the world…

INTRODUCING ISB ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
MEET JENNIFER CHAMMAS...
“In June of 2006, I landed in Boston looking for a second home and an opportunity to study in a familiar environment. My parents had hired a consultant to help me find the high school that would best fit my needs. I visited over ten highly reputable schools, the last one of which was the International School of Boston.
To be truthful, ISB’s facilities were not the most appealing, but once I was presented with the mission of the school, I knew that ISB was the only school in Boston that would offer the education and culture setting that I had been accustomed to. My three years at ISB were priceless, thanks to the student body that quickly welcomed me and the dedicated teachers who cared for me like their own daughter. More importantly, ISB shaped my character and motivated me to be a global citizen who lives with a purpose.
After graduating and passing my baccalaureate in 2009, I enrolled at Boston University, from which I graduated with honors from the School of Management with a concentration in Finance in 2012. Since then, I have been working in New York City for HSBC Private Bank as an investment counselor.
The roots of the person I am today and the success I have achieved so far were planted at ISB. I am glad they were.”
Jennifer Chammas, Class of 2009

MEET MATHIEU WARDROP...
“My name is Mathieu Wardrop. I am currently in my third year at Harvard University, where I am concentrating in English and pursuing a secondary field in Economics; my thesis will explore the intersection of capitalism and fiction, particularly in American works of literature.
In addition to my academic interests, I am the President of the Hasty Pudding
Club, a Peer Advising Fellow, a role in which I advise freshmen on academic and
extra-curricular matters, and work with Harvard’s Office of Sexual Assault
Prevention and Response. I am also a former coxswain for the men’s
heavyweight rowing team.
After graduation, I hope to continue working for Barclays in investment
banking in New York City, where I worked last summer and will return in May.
Originally born in Brussels, I lived in Paris before moving to Boston and
attending the International School of Boston for nine years.
My best memory of ISB is the people, many of whom I still see regularly today.
The bonds I have with the friends I made at ISB are some of the strongest.”
Mathieu Wardrop, Class of 2010

THE HARVARD KROKODILOES
From Cambridge to Cape Town to Carnegie Hall, the Harvard Krokodiloes have
delighted audiences worldwide with their unique blend of a cappella harmony
and humor. Founded back in 1946, the Krokodiloes are Harvard University’s old-
est and finest a cappella singing group. They will be performing for us tonight…
We hope you will enjoy this very special moment.
THE HARVARD CLUB OF BOSTON
If the walls could talk…
...They'd let you know that the Harvard Club of Boston has been a haven for so-
cial, intellectual, and athletic endeavors for over a century. Founded in 1908
with the aim of "giving effective expression to the Harvard Spirit," the club has
done that and more.
...They'd also recount some of the most interesting conversations in
Boston, on the topics of business, medicine, art, sports, politics, etc.
with luminaries such as William Howard Taft, General George C. Marshall,
Eleanor Roosevelt, Henry Kissinger, Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and
George H. Walker Bush, along with Tom Brokaw, Kirk Douglas, Doris Kearns
Goodwin, and Hillary Clinton.
...And they'd welcome you to a place where you can form and maintain lasting
friendships; happily nurture your mind, body, and spirit; and create a wide range
of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

THE HARVARD CLUB OF BOSTON
If the walls could talk…
...They'd let you know that the Harvard Club of Boston has been a haven for so-

with the aim of "giving effective expression to the Harvard Spirit," the club has
done that and more.
...They'd also recount some of the most interesting conversations in
Boston, on the topics of business, medicine, art, sports, politics, etc.
with luminaries such as William Howard Taft, General George C. Marshall,
Eleanor Roosevelt, Henry Kissinger, Presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and
George H. Walker Bush, along with Tom Brokaw, Kirk Douglas, Doris Kearns
Goodwin, and Hillary Clinton.
