Cleanliness is the best start of eliminating social issues and success of it will bring positive change- internal and external in humanity. The purpose to ideate the concept is to implement ‘Clean Earth’ Campaign. Responsible authority (Chief Secretary, Municipal Commissioner) to drive the project, connects and emphasizes with people living in the locality. He is responsible to deploy means to make a clean location and support the cause of sustainability GPS assisted dump-collectors will be deployed to collect garbage from a point of collection (POC). When there is an overflow in the bin, nearest dump-collector will collect the garbage from the dump bin. In addition, he is responsible to recruit well-trained cleanliness staff and co-ordinate with administration for sufficient funds to be allocated to drive the cleanliness project. People will be able register complaints or feedbacks such as ‘garbage being thrown out of POC by someone’ or ‘garbage overflow’ to the responsible dump collectors deputed at the location site. Responsible authorities will work further on the collated information from all collectors to improve on the registered feedback/complaints.

As a “Chief Secretary, Municipal Commissioner”, I need a way to ensure that:

(i) The meetings with government or other responsible administrative authorities is

conducted on time, so that sufficient funds to drive projects are allocated on time.

(ii) The cleaning staff is well trained so that cleaning operations and drives are

conducted effectively and operationally well.

(iii) There is mechanism to hear the feedback or suggestions from localized people, so

that there is scope of continuous improvement and people feel involved in the

project.

In order to accomplish my goals, I had charted my actions, activities, mindset, feelings and touch points below for my journey starting from planning until the final execution.

Goal of Prototype Challenge

GPS assisted garbage collectors are used to collect garbage from a central ‘Point of Collection’. It is possible to sense the overflow of the garbage in a bin. The nearest available collector will be available to pick up the garbage. It is possible to report the overflow by local people and report to the collectors.

Additionally the application has provisions for the responsible to plan the budget for estimated cost of the project and conduct trainings for the cleanliness workers to engage them effectively.
