We aim to:l Enable you to contribute positively to your client in the local community
l Provide opportunities to develop new & existing skills and build client confidence,motivationandsocialskills

What you can expect:l 1-2 hours with a client each week reimbursed expenses
l We provide full training and ongoing support and regular reviews
l Further development training in topics relevant to the role and the charity sector
As a Mentor you would:l Provide your client with regular focused one to one support meetings As a Befriender you:
l Support your client to reduce social isolation by enabling clients to engage in their community and build friendships.

The Befriending Service is a great way to help users who are in need of support insocialactivities.Theprogrammehasbeenverybeneficialtomeasthevolunteer.
Ihadnoexperienceofbefriendingandwasnotsurewhattoexpect,butIfoundthe programme was positive and I was matched with a client and developed a professionalrelationship,itwasenjoyableandrewarding.
Generally this service has been a great help to me throughout the year and I have grown on a personal and professional level.
