ImageOut Celebrates National LGBT Health Awareness Week with 2 Free Screenings BY JESSICA WILKIE // PROGRAMMING CO-CHAIR NO BIKINI NOAH’S ARC For the second consecuve year, ImageOut is joining forces with the Rochester Gay Health Coalion to offer two fabulous and free film screenings in celebraon of Naonal LGBT Health Awareness Week. This year’s double- feature: Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom, and a “Best of the Fest” shorts collecon. The 2008 ImageOut fesval featured some of the best short films of our 16 years (and counng). To give everyone the chance to see these great mini-masterpieces for the first me, or for a free repeat of your favorites, we proudly present a “Best of the Fest” shorts program. This mixed- gender focused program will include: No Bikini (2008 ImageOut Best Independent Short Film); Odd One Out, Very Normal Really; A Boy Named Sue (Flower City Flicks fav by local filmmaker Jason Stoy); Laundromat and others. A new story from the hit Logo TV show, Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom invites fans and newcomers alike a chance to catch-up with those sassy and sexy men of color. The film picks up where the series leſt off. Noah and Wade are ready to jet off to Martha’s Vineyard to say “I do”, but not without their fair share of foibles and drama along the way. Chance, Alex, Ricky and the whole gang are standing by to offer their comments and concerns, as well as to lend a hand (and a shoulder to cry on) when things get tricky. With the full original TV cast returning and a fantasc soundtrack featuring Michelle Williams (of Desny’s Child) and Phoebe Snow, Noah’s Arc will be sure to bring a lile laughter and hearelt emoon to the Health Week fesvies.
