Clothing/personality: Jason Mraz’s clothing in his ‘I’m Yours’ music video is very casual, down to earth and at times sophisticated. In this picture below, he is dressed smart but causal, he is wearing black trousers and blazer which gives his style a mysterious element, and however the un-buttoned blue polka-dot shirt is bright, adding an element of fun and happiness into his personality. I admire this way Background: The majority of the background we can see is positive space because the shallow depth of field has created this, therefore looks like a cool and calm photo shoot, as he looks like he is just simply playing the Instruments : The only instrument used within this photograph is an acoustic guitar and is the most predominant instrument we can hear in the music. I love how they have use a guitar within the image because it gives Jason a friendly and happy-go-lucky kind Colour Scheme : The colour scheme of the image is brightly lit with high key lighting. I love how the photographer has used great depth of field to blur out the background, even though we can see the location the photo is set it, it makes the audience focus solely on Jason. The use of eccentric background juxtaposes against his dark suite. Therefore, this helps portray a cool and calm atmosphere. I admire that the photographer has focused on the targeting the acoustic/pop audience because if the picture was Composition: Like I stated beforehand I love the shallow depth of field because it allows the audience to focus on Jason. Clothing/personality: Jason Mraz’s clothing in his ‘I’m Yours’ music video is very casual, down to earth and at times sophisticated. In this picture below, he is dressed smart but causal, he is wearing black trousers and blazer which gives his style a mysterious element, and however the un-buttoned blue

polka-dot shirt is bright, adding an element of fun and happiness into his personality. I admire this way of clothing because it targets mainly the pop genre and gives Jason a positive personality, plus he looks

quite handsome and friendly, which attracts the target audience of women and teenage girls.

Background: The majority of the background we can see is positive space because the shallow depth of field has

created this, therefore looks like a cool and calm photo shoot, as he looks like he is just simply playing the guitar rather than a posing. However, the use of depth of field

makes his location look secretive.

Instruments: The only instrument used within this photograph is an

acoustic guitar and is the most predominant instrument we can hear in the music. I love how they have use

a guitar within the image because it gives Jason a friendly and happy-go-

lucky kind character, a guy who would happily sit and write songs all day

alone about his love. Therefore has a relation between visual and audio

elements.

Colour Scheme: The colour scheme of the image is brightly lit with high key lighting. I love how the photographer has used great depth of field to blur

out the background, even though we can see the location the photo is set it, it makes the audience focus solely

on Jason. The use of eccentric background juxtaposes against his

dark suite. Therefore, this helps portray a cool and calm atmosphere. I

admire that the photographer has focused on the targeting the

acoustic/pop audience because if the picture was set in a dark ally, the right

target audience would not be met. The colour scheme of the background

looks as if it was taken in the spring season because there are leaves on the floor, green leaves on the trees and the sun isn’t beating down on

Jason which creates a warm image.

Composition: Like I stated beforehand I love the shallow depth of field

because it allows the audience to focus on Jason. In addition, Jason and his guitar are set as a classical balance

which is when the main subject is placed in centre of the composition emphatically which then allows the

audience to study his image. This is set out in a diagonal composition because

my eyes instantly follow the guitar (main subject) from the bottom left hand corner to the top right hand

corner. I also love how the photographer has given Jason an

independent representation.
