Innovation, Dynamic, Progress

Certainty from experience

Sika has been accumulating experience in the manufacture ofresin systems made of polyurethane and epoxy resin since themiddle of the 20th century. This tradition has generated theexperience and know-how that Sika employees have acquiredover many years. The result is that our customers can alwaysbe certain of receiving products that are reliable in respect ofthe purpose for which they are used.

However, no company can rely solely on experience and know-how. In conjunction with our customers, we strive to developourselves further and continually improve our work and ourproducts. As a result of innovations, work processes aresimplified or properties are achieved that were previously notpossible.

Continuous development in close contact with the customer

More safety, stability and strength. Especially in professionalsports, the requirements for the materials used are extremelyimportant. Wherever human will decides to challenge the lawsof physics and aims to achieve the apparently impossible, innovative solutions are called for.

All over the world we are using the feedback from our customersand constantly work with new raw materials and methods todesign high-quality products for the future.

Customer Orientation and Environmental Management

Teamwork and partnership

Solutions are made up of many disparate components. In ateam of specialists, even highly demanding projects can becompleted quickly and with success. What is crucial, however,is having the right products as well as competent advice.

Technical consulting and training by specialists

Our sales consultants and the specialists from our technicaldepartment help our customers to select the right products and the optimum application. In special training courses, ourcustomers have an opportunity to familiarise themselves withthe materials and try out applications. Even in complete serviceprojects, Sika provides support. This result in partnerships onthe way to the discovery of new solutions.

Thinking about tomorrow today

Our behaviour and the work we do today lay the foundations for our future. In order to leave our children an environmentthat is worth living in, new ideas are needed, not just once butcontinually – ideas for:

■ Environmentally compatible products■ Production methods that are sparing in the use of resources■ Avoidance of waste■ Protection against emissions

Environmental management at Sika

Behind these ideas are employees who dedicate their daily work to the achievement of these goals – Sika employees. An extensive environmental management system helps them to do this, certified to DIN EN ISO 14001.For some years now, Sika has also been proactively implement-ing REACH, the new law on chemicals. The aim of this newuniform EU-directive on substances is to improve the protec-tion of people and the environment against the effects of thesesubstances and, above all, to assess and reduce the riskinvolved in their use along the entire supply chain.
