This is the photograph I would use for the school magazine because it clear and the lighting hits it perfectly to make it clear and is not blurred. They are both facing the camera and there body postures are mirroring each others. It is just them in the shot which makes them the focus of the photograph and the background is a brick wall with no distractions or over the top bright colours.

I wouldn’t use this picture for the school magazine because it seems too zoomed out to be clear enough to the reader. Secondly, there are people in the background which makes the photo less powerful and could potentially distract the reader. Thirdly, Sophie and Rebecca are mid movement so it isn’t a clear photo and is a bit blurred, the lighting is OK but it isn’t good enough to stand out and be clear and bold.

I would not use this picture for the school magazine because there are people in the background which could distract the reader’s attention away from Deniz. Secondly, the lighting is bad as there is a shadow on her top from where the camera is taking the photograph. Also, the shot of the angle doesn’t allow us to see her face properly and therefore the picture lacks effectiveness. Lastly, as this photo is supposed to focus on just Deniz, even if there wasn’t anybody in the background, the actual set of the photograph should be a plain background or plain wall, as the different lights and colours and objects in the background can also distract the reader from her.

I would not use this picture because the light doesn’t seem to be hitting their faces in a nice way, and the picture seems a bit blurry. Secondly, there are cars in the reflection of the glass which could distract the reader from the main people in the photograph. Also, it isn’t generally an effective photo as Sophie is laughing and Rebecca doesn’t seem very aware a photo is being taken so it holds no impact for the readers.
