2. WHO AM I(MISSION, CHARACTER) Mission: Create a professional persona based on my academic work, vocational aspirations and creative hobbies. Character: Professional media creative who is a master and jack of manytrades but with a relatable and personal character. I wanted to keep it freshand honest, current but not post on things that are too irrelevant orrambling. From: Professional minded. melliek.wordpress.com/about/ 3. IDENTITIES LIKE ME 4. ID HUB 5. HOW/WHY IT WORKS FOR ME - All platforms stem from one hub that I have the most control over. Grouping my work together in terms of medium: media, visual, writtenfurthers my understanding of them and the feeding of further work. Everything is streamlined. I want to make it as easy as possible for myselfas well as others to discover me and find out what I have to offer. 6. LIVEJOURNAL: Not so relevant anymore as its an outdated platform butgreat start-off for inspiring my persona and navigating smaller comms.WORDPRESS: Great for publishing a hub but not-so-easy to engage withothers as other platforms: i.e. Twitter.NOT SO RELEVANT PLATFORMS WHY? 7. FACEBOOK: Start-off for proper online ID but stagnated in terms ofextending engagement. Also in rare use besides keeping in touch/up-to-date with friends/personal things.TUMBLR: Really just an inspiration page for posting things I like that arent mine. Not really an engangement platform thanks to lack of commentingsystem and non-censured, broad scope. 8. TWITTER: Aided mission in terms of focusing professionalisation ofpersona who I talk to, what I talk about, who I follow. I dont follow friendson Twitter, tend to follow organisations, bloggers, media professionals andcolleagues. Mainly Media and Communication focused.FOLLOWING RELEVANT PLATFORMSMY TWEETSTWEETING TOQ&A TWEETING TO CURRENT TREND 9. INSTAGRAM 10. POOL- Great place to exhibit work and have it commented on by like minded people and mediaindustry professionals- Place to test out media projects and pieces within a smaller community which means moreattention and engagement- Smaller, focused community means less spammers, greater attention and better critique 11.
