ILS EAGLE NEWLETTER December 18, 2020 www.immanuel-ed.org Little children never fail to amaze me. Their brains work in unique and sometimes strange ways. Im truly enjoying watching my grandchildren grow and learn. My little girls (7 and 6) are full of sparkles, unicorns, polish and hugs. My boys, aged 4, 3, and 2 are not so predictable. They are a trio who can come up with more challenges than the girls ever did. They ride their dump trucks off the couch, put their chairs on the treadmill and turn it on. They laugh when theyre thrown off in a jumble and go back for more. Sometimes, I just cant figure out how their brains operate - or how they survive. Im glad there are three of them. One of my favorite moments with the boys are the times when they show their love. One insists on only giving kisses on a forehead. I didnt understand it until his mom asked him about it. His sim- ple but poignant response was this. I like to kiss you on the forehead so my love sinks into you. I love that boy! The other part of that story is that he likes to deliver those kisses right after eating pancakes or waffles. His lips are sticky with syrup - every time. Despite our best efforts to wipe his mouth before he delivers his kiss, theres always a sticky mess on my head afterward. His mom asked him about that too. (Grandmas dont need to ask about that stuff. We just soak up the love!) His answer there was also simple. Its so my kiss sticks to you forever.Oh, to think like a child! Simple, exact, sure and true. Theres joy in that logic. Thats my prayer for you and your family this Christmas. I pray that Gods love manifested in the Holy Child lying in Bethlehems manger sinks into you, and that it sticks with you forever! A Most Blessed Christmas! Sue Domeier

Little children never fail to amaze me. Their brains work in unique and sometimes strange ways. I’m truly enjoying watching my grandchildren grow and learn.
