1. Objective
1. To get the Alumni back to IIMB – Target 800– Build the community that will build the Institute
2. To take IIMB to the Community – Become Talk of the Town– Take a Leadership position within B-schools
3. To be an Annual Calendar Event– That the Alumni looks forward to and the Community looks up to
2.1 Name
IIMagine…Others names considered: IIMpact (taken), IIMBibe, IIMBlaze
IIMAGINE takes inspiration from innovative and emerging ideas and trends prevalent in the business world today, which can be taken to new heights through the power of imagination. The theme also explores the changing social and economic dimensions of business in an evolving India.
The name IIMagine will stay for each edition of the Conclave.
2.2 Theme
Theme• The theme will be topical to the Conclave of the year.• All Keynote Addresses and Focus Tracks in the Conclave will be
centered around the theme of the year.• The theme will evolve year on year.

• IIMB Students (free entry limited to thought sessions to 150 students on FCFS basis, balance on normal charge as per Alumni)
• Pan IIM alumni (to open to IIMA and IIMC alumni at a later date)
• Guests of IIMB Alumni (limited to 2 paid guest per registered Alum)

6. Role of IIMB
• Funds and Accounts Supervision (more later)
• Admin services – IIMB Alumni office to support until appointment of full time staff for conclave
• Publicity – IIMB media cell will assist and use all connects to help the team
• Venues & Facilities• MDC as residence (50 rooms already blocked)
• Hotels in vicinity of IIMB (200 rooms to be blocked)

7. Role of Chapters• Chapters’ commitment is essential to the success of the
Conclave• Chapters will be involved in the evolution and execution of the
Conclave.• Need contribution to ideation – theme, program etc.• Nominees for committees, including below

9. Decisions and Funds Management• Funds & Accounts to be managed by IIMBAA• Separate sub bank account to be opened under the main IIMBAA
bank account• Account Operation – jointly by 2 Signatories: 1 nominee out of 2 from Conclave Governing Body (to be
nominated), and 1 nominee out of 2 from Conclave Executive Committee (to be nominated)
• Seed funding – Rs. 10 lakh to be advanced from IIMBAA and Chapters accounts
• Expense authorisation matrix – Conclave Convenor authorised a spend limit of Rs. 2 lakhs per decision. Anything above this limit, convenor to send an email to the Conclave Governing Committee. Prof. Vasanthi to coordinate all members’ views and take a decision within 48 hours. If that does not happen, the request will be deemed to be sanctioned.
• Decision making matrix – Conclave Convenor will have the executive authority related to all operations, and to make appointments to committees, hire necessary agencies and staff. All decision making powers related to financial transactions to follow the previous point.
