the Vertebral Column
It consists of 33 vertebrae
It starts at the neck, connecting with the head.
It ends at the Coccyx

Vertebrae are the first 7 Vertebrae
The are named C1-C7
The Cervical Vertebrae are smaller than the other Vertebrae

different shape so they can attach to the ribs

It is the most common of Spine diseases, affecting 0.5% of the world’s population

Spinal CordThe Spinal Cord is a
thin group of nerves and tissues that is protected inside your spine
It is responsible for sending message through your body using the Central Nervous System

Injury to the Spinal CordInjuries to the Spinal
Cord are very seriousThey can lead to
partial or full paralysis
Most injuries are caused by trauma and impact
The most common injuries are C1-C7 and L1-L5
