About the falls:• Total height: 82 m• Total width: 2.7 km• Its main river is: Iguazu River.• Caudal: 1,756 m3/s.• It was found by: Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca.
About the Drops:
·It has 275 drops.
·The Devil's Throat is
the most famous drop.
·The 80% are in the
Argentinian side.
·You can take boat rides
under the falls.
Climate:
• the Iguazu Falls has a subtropical climate with abundant precipitation and high temperatures all the months around the year.
History:• The cataracts had
been found by Alvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca in 1542.
• In the past it has gone through many owners; Spanish, Indigenous, Argentine, Brazilian.
• 1984 the Argentine sector World Heritage Site
• 1986 the Brazilian sector
World Heritage Site
One of the seven natural
wonders of the world
• On November of 2012 It were selected as one of the "Seven Wonders of the World“.
• On February of 2012 the foundation New7Wonder finally confirmed that the falls were the one of the winners.
