Dear Sir,

With reference to above, we wish to inform you that our above referred existing environmentclearance is granted to our unit located at Plot No. T-2, MIDC Taloja, Dist Raigad - 410 208 formanufacture of Phthalic Anhydride, Benzoic Acid (recovery from effluent & residue), Maleicanhydride (recovery from effluent), Downstream chemicals like Di-ethyl Phthalate & Di-methylphthalate & it's By product.

We have filed an application vide Letter No. IGPLIIKS/2017/PA-4/AMD dated 2nd August 2017 forAmendment to the existing EC w.r.t Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) & Environmental SocialResponsibility (ESR) conditions.

In addition, we requestyoufor an amendment for recovery of Additional Quantity of benzoic acid fromEffluent/ residue as below:Benzoic Acid is generated as by product during our PA manufacturing process & we recover it fromwaste residues & scrubber effluent water. We currently have a plant for recovery of 1000 TPAoperating at our site.We wish to increase our production of Benzoic Acid by 250 TPA by way of process & technologyimprovement viz• Better recovery of Benzoic Acid from scrubber water due to better control of crystallizer unit• Increase in conversion of Benzoic Acid during purification of Phthalic Anhydride.

Increase in Benzoic Acid production is from waste & doesn't increase fresh water consumption/waste water generation/ hazardous waste generation/process emissions.

There will be No Increase in Pollution Load due to this increase in recovery since the process onlypertains to enhancing recovery from waste/effluent. Above claim has been checked by ICT,Mumbai& their certificate is also enclosed along with application.

We are submitting application for Grant of EC in Form I along with PFR for increase in productionbased on newly inserted clause of 7 (ii) (a) of MoEF & CCnotification of S.D. 3518 (E) dated 23rdNovember 2016.

We are requesting you to grant us amendment in EC at the earliest to effect above increase inproduction as also wrt ZLDand ESRconditions & oblige.
