Your goal or main objective is to select 3 of your top entries, go to their school(s) to recognize & award the students, then send those projects to Milwaukee for the National ICE Challenge.

3Step 1: Organization and PreparationSeparate projects into grade clustersK-5, 6-8 & 9-12Separate by media typesAssign a unique number to each project

Step 2: Judging and Selection7We want to reward excellence. The judging panel, made up of energy professionals, educators, and experts will review each entry.
Points are earned for:
Theme the entry illustrates wise energy choices and environmental stewardship.
Originality and creativity
Written explanation What motivated you to enter this challenge? What actions and ideas do you hope to convey? What is the impact of your project in your own life or in the lives of others?Judging Form

Once a project as been judged by a judge, have them pass it on to the next judge. Do this until all judges have seen and judged all the projects.Using the supplied tally sheet, find the average score for each project.Final judging Panel of Judges11Judging Tally
Enter in project number or nameHave judges rank each project. For example, if you have 14 projects, rank them 1-14 (1 being the best)Enter the rank for each project under the appropriate judgeEliminate projects that are scored low by all or most judgesWith the remaining projects, have judges discuss what they liked and didnt like about each project. This is a good time to see other points of view.Continue until judges agree on winner.

14We want to recognize the hard work that every students put forth for this Challenge, therefore every entrant will receive an Award Certificate. This certificate will be in the eroom for you to download.
