Blessed for 100 years! Parish Fact: In 1972, the gymnasium was opened for

sports activities. During 2002, the gymnasium was utilized

for Mass celebrations while the current church was

undergoing renovations.

Blessing of Throats on the Memorial of St. Blaise will be on

Sunday, February 7, 2021. When great numbers are gathered

for the blessing a priest or deacon may give the blessing to all

assembled by extending hands, without the crossed candles,

over the people while saying the prayer of blessing. The

ongoing pandemic presents sufficient pastoral reason to avoid

administration of the blessing to individuals in the usual

manner.

The Sacrament of Baptism will be celebrated

Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 4:00p.m. There will be only

one class, which will be on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in

the Casper Center at 6:30p.m. On the day of Baptism,

Sunday, April 11, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes

before Baptism, so Father/Deacon can go over the

procedure with the families. For more information

call the Parish Office at 969-4579, during regular

business hours.

Announcement Regarding Ash Wednesday

In accordance with instructions from the Congregation for

Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, there will

be some changes to the distribution of ashes on Ash

Wednesday this year amid the coronavirus pandemic.

At the appropriate time in the liturgy, the priest will bless the

ashes and then, aloud to the whole assembly, say the words

indicated in the Missal: “Repent and believe in the Gospel” or

“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

This is said only once and not individually to each person.

Ashes will then be distributed to the faithful in the form of

sprinkling on the top of the head. This method avoids direct

skin contact between persons. While most Americans are more

familiar with the placing of ashes on the forehead in the shape

of a cross, the sprinkling of ashes is very common in Catholic

cultures around the world.

The ministers and the faithful wear masks throughout this rite

of distribution of ashes. While waiting in line, social distancing

protocols (similar to those in place for distribution of Holy

Communion) should be observed. The Church considers the

blessed ashes to be a “sacramental”-a tangible sign that

inspires reverence as we enter into the holy and penitential

season of Lent. While this is an important sign of our faith, it is

by no means a requirement. Those who feel uncomfortable

may simply choose not to receive ashes this year.

OFRENDA PARROQUIAL

Hay diferentes maneras de dar culto y honrar a

Dios. Nuestra ofrenda económica, es también una

manera de dar gracias. La Palabra de Dios en la

segunda Carta a los Corintios (9:7) dice: “Dios ama

a quien da con alegría”. Demos y ofrezcamos

nuestra ofrenda a Dios con alegría. Pero antes de

entregar la ofrenda pensemos en la razón por la

cual amamos más a Dios y demos gracia a Dios

por eso. Por favor trae tu ofrenda a la Iglesia y

deposítala en el buzón de la rectoría o envíala por

correo.

Los recibos de tu parroquia no paran de llegar y

hay que pagarlos. Gracias por tu ofrenda.

Solicite sus intención para la Misa de la 1:00 p. m. con el diácono Aurelio Puga, antes o después de la misa. Las intenciones generales que se colectan antes de la misa en la canasta que está encima de la mesita de madera, atrás de la última banca. Anote su intención en una hoja de papel y deposítela en la canasta. A la hora de la procesión de entrada se llevarán al altar. Las peticiones se mencionarán de manera general durante la oración de los fieles.

NUEVO PROCEDIMIENTO

Debido a la pandemia, HAY QUE INSCRBIRSE para las pláti-cas para padres de familia y padrinos de bautizo. El número de bautizos está limitado a diez

por mes.

Las siguientes clases serán los miércoles 14 y 21 de abril en el Casper Center y en el Templo

respectivamente a las 7:00 p. m. Los bautizos se llevarán a cabo el 24 de abril a las 2:00 p. m.

- Los padres deben ser miembros activos y/o registrados en la Iglesia. - Los padres y los padrinos deben asistir a las dos clases de preparación. - Los niños deben ser menores de 6 años. Los padrinos que vienen de fuera deberán presentar una constancia de que han tomado las clases de preparación en su respectiva parroquia. - Los padrinos deben ser católicos practicantes. Si es una pareja, deben de estar casados por la Iglesia, y necesitan presentar el comprobante correspondiente. - Si es una sola persona, padrino o madrina, debe ser soltero(a) o viudo(a), y no vivir en unión libre. - Entregar una copia del acta de nacimiento del niño(a).. - Donación: 50 dólares

MISAS PÚBLICAS Y OTRAS CELEBRACIONES LITÚRGICAS DURANTE LA PANDEMIA DEL COVID-19

- Cualquier persona que esté enferma o viviendo con alguien que esté enfermo, deberá quedar-se en casa, al igual que quienes se sientan vulnerables por alguna otra razón. Las misas disponi-bles en línea las puedes encontrar en www.archlou.org/COVID-19

- La distancia física recomendada se deberá guardar durante toda la misa. Para mayor facilidad, las bancas están marcadas —una sí y otra no— con cinta blanca y roja en el piso. El color blanco indica que se puede sentar allí. Esto permitirá que haya seis pies de distancia entre cada feligrés. Esta norma no se aplicará si las personas que asisten viven en la misma casa. Por otro lado, no se pueden reservar bancas. Una vez que se ocupen las bancas marcadas con cinta blanca, se cerrarán las puertas del templo.

- Todos feli reses deberán cubrirse la boca o usar mascarilla en la misa.

- Por favor, lávese las manos antes de salir para la iglesia si le es posible. También tómese la tem-peratura. Si el termómetro marca que tiene fiebre, aunque sea poca, por favor, quédese en casa.

- El uso de los baños está limitado. Solo podrá entrar una persona a la vez.

- Al salir asegúrese de guardar seis pies de distancia entre familia/persona y familia/persona.

- Estas normas son para la protección y bienestar de todos.
