Clinical Manifestation

caused by the release of preformed and newly

synthesized mediators from mast cells and basophils.

Symptoms depends on route of administration.

Page 3: IgE Test Serology

Anaphylaxis

Most severe type of allergic reaction

Acute reaction with simultaneous involvement of multiple organs

Triggered by glycoproteins or large polypeptide

Procedure

Open the foil pouch by tearing at the notch and remove the test device and dropper.

Holding the dropper vertically, add four drops of serum or directly to the sample well "S" of the test device.

Read the result at five minutes.

Principle of IgE testing

-utilizes the "sandwich"

immunodetection

principle dye-

conjugated polyclonal antibody against

human IgE

-Labeled antibody-dye

conjugate binds to the human IgE molecules present in

the specimen forming an

antigen-antibody-dye

complex

-purple band in control zone "C"

indicates the test is

functioning properly

-purple band in the test zone "T"

indicates IgE present

along with positive

control band
