Heirloom Cheesecake with Raspberry CoulisA family tradition for 50 years, this recipe contains no flour, just sour cream, cream cheese, eggs and sugar accompanied by a raspberry sauce. The crunchy, buttery graham cracker crust features chopped pecans and a hint of cinnamon. It’s been a hit at family gatherings for three generations!

Champagne Cake with StrawberriesIf chocolate is not your thing, here’s a fabulous alternative. Try this this beautifully decorated, sophisticated cake, which features elegant Champagne icing and a strawberry filling. It’s a specialty from Sluys Bakery--you know it will be scrumptious!

Chocolate Truffle Torte (gluten-free)Whether or not you prefer a gluten-free dessert, this confection from Blackbird Bakery is sure to tempt the chocoholics among us. In fact, this mouth-watering chocolate cake is like one, huge chocolate truffle! All chocolate, all the time.

Pineapple TartPineapple--derived from a Caribbean word meaning excellent fruit, came to Hawaii in the 1500s! Lively, tropical, and tart sweet, this Pineapple Tart’s refreshing sunniness is welcome in winter…or any time of year. What a delicious way to cap tonight’s Island Getaway. E “ai kākou -- Hawaiian for “Let’s eat!”

Can’t Tell A Lie Cherry PieFor 25 years, Bainbridge Bakers has supplied Islanders with their favorite treats and baked goods. This delicious Cherry Pie, carefully prepared by this “all butter,” “by-hand” bakery is the perfect conclusion to tonight’s delicious buffet. Plump, juicy cherries in a delectable crust--a harbinger of summer to come!

Gladys Presley’s Coconut CakeCoconut nirvana awaits. This was one of Elvis “The King” Presley’s favorite desserts--his mother’s Coconut Cake. And indeed, it is fit for a king. Not overly sweet, there’s a wonderful coconut flavor throughout, glazed and topped with flaky coconut. Indulge yourself in this heavenly dessert.

Carrot Cake with Cheesecake FillingMoist, dense, and delicious--carrot cake has been popular since the 1970s. And carrot cake lovers will appreciate this sophisticated variation with a cheesecake filling. You can’t go wrong with this flavorful, celebratory dessert.

Lemon-Glazed Orange CakeDeliciousness at a mere 200 calories per slice! This yummy orange cake is topped with the most intense lemon glaze you’ve ever tasted--the tang of fresh-squeezed juice packs a flavor punch. Pecan Apple Upside-Down PieThis pie may be served upside-down, but it’s right-side up delish! Pecans take the place of a traditional crust and form the base for a delectable concoction of apples and spices. Relish the rich blend of apples and buttery pecans, surrounded in spicy sweetness. It’s all about YUM!

Chocolate Irish Whiskey CakeChocolate Irish Whiskey Cake -- it’s a dessert and after-dinner digestif all in one! Savor the complimentary blend of flavors as you enjoy this decadent mocha layer cake filled with coffee-whiskey cream and topped with white and dark chocolate shavings.

Decadent Banana Coconut TartWhat could be a more tropical end to our Hawaiian evening that a decadent Banana Coconut Tart? Freshly sliced banana and shredded coconut with cream, baked in a homemade buttery tart crust. Aloha for your taste buds! It’s a marvelous treat and sure to please.

Chocolate Ginger Cake with Bourbon GlazeChocolate and ginger create an intriguing blend of flavors in a moist, sweet, and spicy cake. This Chocolate-Ginger Cake with Bourbon Sauce is a rich combination of chocolate, molasses, and fresh ginger, with a drizzled bourbon sauce over the top. This elegant creation does not contain nuts.

Norwegian Caramel PuddingA unique family recipe, chorister MJ Zakovy shares her grandmother’s delectable dessert with the Bainbridge Chorale family. It’s extra special because it is prepared with sweet, creamy goat milk, slowly simmered into a caramel-y pudding, and infused with chopped dates and pecans. “Vel bekomme!” -- Norwegian for “Enjoy!”

Dark Chocolate Caramel CheesecakeRich, creamy cheesecake is a no-fail, crowd-pleasing dessert. But this one takes cheesecake to an entirely new dimension. Dark chocolate and caramel and cheesecake, oh my! This variation on the perennial favorite is sure to induce cheesecake bliss.

SECTION BASKET DONORSThanks to each member of the Chorale who contributed energy, creativity,

items and cash for the marvelous silent auction baskets donated by the Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass sections

And special thanks to all the merchants and individuals on Bainbridge Island and in the Kitsap area who so graciously donated items and services for the auction. Your ongoing support allows us to continue to bring fine choral performances and youth
