The food and drink industry has long been a main stay of the Austrian economy. Austrian exports to the uK in 2010 exceeded £100 million, and these days there is far more to Austrian cuisine than Apple Strudel and Wiener Schnitzel! Austria has a thriving natural and organic food industry, produces some of the world’s finest dairy and meat products, makes all kinds of confectionery and patisserie and is a market leader for the production of fruit juices and concentrates.

Greisinger is a family firm that has been producing high quality meat and

sausage products for 25 years, and exports them to more than 30 countries

worldwide. Exports account for approx. 20% of total turnover. The princi-

pal markets are the EU, Eastern Europe and Asia (Japan, South Korea etc.).

Pinzgau Milch – a company which, over the course of decades, has
