The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and natural Resources (DENR), in cooperation with the Department of Education, the Commission on Higher Education and private sector partners will conduct the 2019 National Search for Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Schools. 2 . The search is open to elementary, secondary, and tertiary nationwide and only one entry per school will be allowed. 3 . The following are the objectives: a. To encourage schools/academic institutions to become more actively involved in environmental issues at a practical and local level; b. To develop skills and understanding among the students, faculty and school administrators in initiating active response and increasing community awareness and participation on environmental concerns. 4. In relation to this, interested public schools to participate in the said search shall submit their entries at the SGOD Office through the Youth Formation Coordinators. While private schools shall submit their entries to the nearest EMB Regional Office. 5 . The deadline for the submission of entries is on or before April 26, 2019. 6 . For information and guidance.
