10 September, 2008 For Immediate Release

Showcase of AV technology applications for Asia’s diverse markets Industry leaders at InfoComm Asia 2008, largest dedicated trade show in Asia for pro AV and systems integration

AV systems integrators, design consultants, rental & staging companies, distributors and dealers will be able to see, assess and learn about a broad spectrum of audiovisual solutions this November 19-21 in Hong Kong. InfoComm Asia 2008, the pan Asian trade show for pro AV technology and systems integration will debut with more than 250 exhibiting companies from 21 countries and regions, including three group pavilions – Singapore, Taiwan and the USA at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

This is the InfoComm for Asia – the only dedicated trade show in Asia for the pro AV industry, where Asian and international manufacturers launch their latest audiovisual products to industry players from all over Asia. As technologies trend towards triple-play convergence, integrating video to voice and data, knowledge exchange among industry practitioners is vital in order to capitalize effectively on the opportunities presented. A study commissioned by InfoComm International® on Asia Pacific pro AV market definition and strategy shows that there is a greater need in the Asia Pacific to educate buyers as part of the sales cycle.

While InfoComm Asia 2008 targets the pan Asian regional market, an accompanying event. InfoComm China lends specific focus to the needs of the fast growing China market, particularly the Southern cities. The sizeable presence of local Chinese companies exhibiting at the event reflects the growing demand in China for AV products, as well as Chinese intent to engage with and export to international markets.

InfoComm Asia 2008 provides a forum for such exchange and education. In response to industry trends, InfoComm Asia 2008 will host four special themed pavilions, each dedicated to a current ‘hot’ AV technology and their applications. This will make it easier for systems integrators as well as professional end users to focus on the areas of greatest impact to their work. The four pavilions are:

• HD Conferencing and Telepresence, showcasing interactive and collaborative platforms to increase productivity and reduce travel costs, from industry leaders such as Beyerdynamic, ClearOne, DIS, ICS, Keda, Revolab, Sennheisser, Shure, SMART Technologies, Ultra Active Technology (master distributor of Polycom), Vega Technologies (representing Tandberg) and Yamaha (Tom Lee). • Digital Signage, with complete solutions for commercial and retail project managers looking to tap the power of digital signage.
