January 30, 2011 Dear Talented Rough Riders,

I am thrilled to announce Franklins 3rd Annual Variety Show! We are looking for dedicated, hard-working, and creative individuals and groups to participate. The Variety Show is limited to your creativity and school appropriateness of course! The first thing that needs to be done if you are interested is fill out the form on the next page. Please limit your act to two minutes or less. If you have music that needs to be shortened, I will be able to help if it is on a CD, however, this will be taken care of after try-outs.

I will hold two after school rehearsal dates. It is the intention to include anyone who wants to participate, however, you MUST have a well-rehearsed act at the time of rehearsals that can be clearly heard and understood. The actual date of the show will be Monday, February 27 beginning at 1:30. This show will be for our talented 3-5 students. Participating in the show will require staying after school approximately 2 more times.

Play an instrument short skits/plays Magic Tricks Poetry reading original dance routines Comedy/Jokes Singing groups and solos are welcome using instrumental music with no words

Other creative and appropriate presentations are welcome. In order to include as many students as possible, group acts are encouraged. Each student is only allowed to participate in one act.
