• Call 911 (or local number) *Check scene for safety• EMD- dispatcher and follow instructions provided • Don’t hang up until EMD directs you to do so• Give care until:• You perform CPR and person starts breathing• Another trained responder takes over• You are too exhausted to continue• Scene becomes unsafe• Person is competent and asks you to stop
