• Is not Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 1:26-2:4; 10:44-46; 11:15-17)

– He provided the seed (Luke 8:11; 1 Cor 2:10, 12; John 16:13)

– The seed/word of God saves (James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:22-23; James 1:21; Acts 11:13-14)

• This is not physical birth

– At baptism, a new, spiritual life begins (Col 2:12-14; Rom 6:4; Gal 3:27)

– Noticeable change (Gal 5:16, 25)
