wire-free detector linking

MeshI/O™ is a system to transmit digital signals wirelessly.

Based on IDT’s market-leading iMesh™ technology, MeshI/O provides an easy

way to connect multiple remote, digital devices where cabling is not readily

available or ducting is prohibitvely expensive.

MeshI/O was developed to connect vehicle detectors to a downstream junction

signal controller. A single upstream MeshI/O unit will support up to 6 digital

inputs from inductive loops or other devices such as TrafiCam® and Heimdall

detectors.

A second MeshI/O unit installed at the controller end of the link converts the

wireless transmission to a digital output and provides screw terminals for

connection to a Controller.

Benefits and features

Fully bi-directional

Latency of just 3mS

Compatible with any detector which has relay/opto-isolated/switched outputs

Supports up to 6 inputs PLUS 6 outputs per end

In-built fault detection sets UTC’s controller fault bit in the event of a dropped link

Fully compatible with existing iMesh networks

Can simultaneously provide mid-span mesh repeater function

Avoids the need for expensive ducting
