Reduction to drudgery of women through introduction of simple, affordable and workable technological solutions to the tedious crop management and post-harvest operations such as weeding, threshing (also include improving grain quality and value by preventing contamination with soil, etc.), and processing such as de-hulling and milling.

Understanding and effective application of farmer participatory technological interventions together with appropriate capacity building for increasing the productivity and production of locally important food grains such as small millets (finger millet, little millet, foxtail millet, and barnyard millet) grain amaranth and associated traditional crop components of millet-based cropping system in semi-arid, hilly and mountainous regions of India;

Vermicompost pits have been constructed among all adopted villages followed by the training of farmers on compost technology. From the use of the compost as a fertilizer in the field, major improvements have been seen in the productivity of all the millet crops.

Extension of successfully demonstrated women-centric farm-to-market value chain with value added product developed from the local crops for enhancing the household income and achieving the power of scale through organizing Farmers Clubs and Self Help Groups and providing them with required machinery, training, bank and market linkages, and continuous hand holding to evolve this as a rural socio-economic movement for empowering women farmers;
