M.A.C. Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Museum of Contemporary Art)

Inaugurated on July 26, 2004 in order to investigate educate and exhibit the artistic contemporary local , national and international production.

EL CABILDOMuseo Histórico del Norte(Northern Historical Museum - City Hall)

It is located in the historical building of the City Hall, which in the same act of the foundation of Salta (1582) was defined the site for its emplacement. In 1942, the National Government recovered it for restoration, opening its doors as Historical Museum in August 1949.

M.A.A.MMuseo de Arqueologia de Alta Montaña (Museum of High Mountain Archeology)

Inaugurated on November 18, 2004 where findings of the mummies known as “The children of Llullaillaco” are kept

MUSEO PTE. JOSÉ URIBURU(José E. Uriburu Museum)

Part of “Northern Historical Museum” complex is a museum of uses and customs of the 18th and 19th century. It was declared Historical National Museum Monument in 1943

MUSEO DE LA CIUDAD CASA DE HERNANDEZ(House of Hernandez Museum)

This house constructed in 1780 is located on the corner of Alvarado and Florida Streets. It integrates an area of valuable testimonies of the architecture of the 17th century

One of the most important museums in the North of Argentina. It was inaugurated on December 2008. It exhibits samples of the art of Salta

CASA DE ARIAS RANGEL(Arias Rangel’s House)

It was constructed in 1752 by the Arais Rangel family. It was declared National Historical Monument in 1982.
