What are the Idealist of the Year Awards? City Year Washington, DC will recognize the 2017 Idealists of the Year during the dinner portion of the event. Idealists of the Year are employee volunteers from your corporate family who embody the spirit of idealism—seeking to improve the community, nation and world for all. The idealists we recognize show a commitment to improving the Washington, DC region by making a difference in the life of one person, an organization or an entire community. How can I honor an Idealist of the Year? All table sponsors have the opportunity to honor an Idealist from their organization who will be recognized with an award during the dinner portion of the event. For more information about honoring an Idealist of the Year, contact Jerry Ilar, Corporate Partnerships Manager, at jilar@ cityyear.org. How can I buy a ticket? How much are they? You can purchase tickets online soon. Tickets are $250 per individual. City Year alumni can purchase tickets at the discounted rate of $150. What do I get with my ticket?
