IDC Portugal, together with some partners, held the WORKPLACE OF THE FUTURE FORUM 2018, on June 28th, at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in
Lisbon, Portugal.
As the digital workplace in a modern enterprise becomes more and more complex, it also becomes increasingly independent of hardware platforms.
Everyone, from top managers to part-time employees, should be able to participate in the business operations and access enterprise resources from
any device and any geographical point, using various communication channels. Speed of response and the ability to make decisions in real time are
critical to the success of modern businesses.
Today, the solutions and services on which internal and external corporate communications are built are undergoing significant changes. They are
influenced by such factors as digital business transformation, consumerization of IT, integration with corporate information systems, growing
requirements for information security, the transition to public and private clouds, artificial intelligence, M2M solutions, and block chain.
With around 315 registrations and 185 delegates attending it, the Workplace of the Future Forum 2018 allowed participants to learn firsthand
about the latest digitization trends in the workspace.
