- Applicants must provide evidence of successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent.

Entry requirements

- Students must be over 18 years of age at time of course commencement.

ICTICT401 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to determine client business system requirements and verify the accuracy of the information gathered.It applies to information and communications technology personnel who are required to analyse client expectations and needs & recommend business system changes.

ICTPMG401 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to support the management of low risk, straightforward information and communications technology projects within an organisation. It applies to individuals who may work under supervision but have responsibility to ensure workflow is planned and completed in line with requirements.

BSBWHS304 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to participate in work health and safety (WHS) communication and consultation processes. It applies to individuals who participate in WHS communication and consultation processes as part of their work health and safety responsibilities, which are in addition to their main duties.

CUAPPM407 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to create and develop storyboards for a broad range of digital content - video, film, animation and interactive media. It applies to individuals who break down content, stories or scripts into discrete elements and visualise creative concepts in collaboration with a creative production team.

BSBCMM401 This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to prepare, deliver and review a presentation to a target audience. This unit applies to individuals who may be expected to make presentations for a range of purposes, such as marketing, training and promotions.

ICTWEB401 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to design a website to specifications, within a particular technical and human interface environment. This unit applies to individuals who are responsible for analysis, documentation and design, including identifying the technical and human computer interface requirements that drive design.

ICTWEB424 Describes the skills and knowledge required to determine a client’s current and future internet service providers needs. Applies to individuals working in information and communications technology who take responsibility for comparing and evaluating internet service provider services, and are technically proficient communicators.

ICTWEB416 Describes the skills and knowledge required to create and integrate, a website into an open-source content management system. It applies to individuals working as web developers who apply a wide range of knowledge and skills across ICT to support small to medium enterprises that require broader ICT support.

ICTWEB429 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use a text editor to design, create and save web pages to a given specification, rather than using an authoring tool.It applies to individuals working as web designers and developers who interpret client briefs, are resourceful in their application of technology in using a markup language.

ICTWEB409 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to develop cascading style sheets (CSS) that are attached to a markup language document, in order to externally define, and control, styles to enhance and achieve commonality between web documents.

ICTWEB410 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use web development software to create website content. The unit is designed to use a web-authoring tool to convert text and images to the appropriate web protocols.

ICTWEB403 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to transfer content, from a remote location to a web server, using a range of commercial information and communications technology (ICT) products. The objective is the successful upload of new, or revised, information on a website.

ICTWEB408 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide basic website server, and protocol security appropriate to the level required by an organisation.It applies to individuals employed as web maintenance staff who are required to ensure that a website meets basic security requirements.

ICTWEB405 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to monitor website traffic and to compile traffic reports as specified. It applies to individuals who are required to maintain websites.

ICTWEB404 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to ensure that a website maintains performance levels during peak traffic times, and full use access.It applies to individuals who use planning and analytical skills to maintain and improve website performance.

ICTICT407 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to publish new content and establish and maintain the accuracy and usability of current content on client websites. It applies to individuals working in the web area who provide support in small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

ICTWEB413 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to create and implement, good internet-marketing practices using search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques, including introducing web pages to search engines, and monitoring search engine performance.

ICTWEB417 Describes the skills and knowledge required to successfully develop and integrate social networking code into new and existing websites. It applies to individuals working as web developers who apply a wide range of knowledge and skills across a range of general information and communications technology environments and support (SMEs).

ICTICT418 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to maintain professional and ethical conduct, as well as to ensure that personal information of stakeholders is handled in a confidential and professional manner when dealing with stakeholders in an information and communications technology (ICT) environment.

ICTWEB406 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to design and implement procedures, which measure the performance of a website, and compare these procedures to the initial design specifications.

ICTWEB421 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to ensure content for a website is in accordance with customer specifications, and is compatible with the appropriate technical and infrastructure protocols.

ICTWEB402 This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to ensure that a website is accessible to users with auditory, visual, mobility, and cognitive impairments, and those people who use assistive technology.
