Executive summary

The project website is a key dissemination tool for the success of ICT-Emissions. A dedicated site has been set up at the url http://www.ict-emissions.eu/ with the aim to allow the internal (project partners) and external community (stakeholders interested in the project outcome) to follow up on new developments and results.

The website has publicly accessible webpages which offer a general overview on the project, its methodology, workflow, partnership, and exploitation group. Whilst the member’s area is meant for consortium members and members of the exploitation group.

The website will be active during the 3-year project lifetime and will be updated on a regular basis. Polis is in charge of managing and updating the website with input from all partners on project news and relevant events.

It should be noted that the project website was submitted in time, but this report was prepared as a response to the comments from the 1st Annual Technical Project review.

1 Introduction

1.1. OBJECTIVES OF THE DOCUMENT

The main objective of this document is to present the ICT-Emissions website.

1.2. STRUCTURE OF THE DELIVERABLE

This deliverable aims to describe a key dissemination tool for the success of ICT-Emissions Project, more specifically, Chapter 2 introduces the ICT-Emissions website, providing an overview of the content. It should be acknowledge that a website is dynamic and the content will be continuously update during the project. Therefore in order to get the most update content please refer to: http://www.ict-emissions.eu/.

2 Website

A dedicated project website has been set up (http://www.ict-emissions.eu/). As previously acknowledge a website is dynamic and the content will be continuously update during the project. Therefore in order to get the most update content please refer directly to the website.

The purpose of the website is to allow the internal and external community to follow up on new developments and results. The website has a number of tools allowing partners and the public to disseminate the results to all potential stakeholders from industry and operators, public authorities, infrastructure managers and academia. Below is an illustration of the ICT-Emissions Home page (Figure 1). The following sub-sections will briefly outline the purpose of the main content on the ICT-Emissions website.

2.1. HOME PAGE

The website home page http://www.ict-emissions.eu features a rotating news items box where latest news about the project alternate. There is additional information about Events, and News located on a menu on the top right of all website pages. This will allow users to easily access content about the project from anywhere on the site or return to Home page.

Web links to relevant EU projects which cooperate with ICT-Emissions are listed in a box in the lower left hand side. These projects are: AMITRAN, ECOSTAND, and COST action TU0903 MULTITUDE. Social media messages posted on the ICT-Emissions’ Twitter account are displayed in a box on the right hand side.

2.2. NEWS

The home page displays a roating News items module. The project will publish the latest news and related events.

2.3. EVENTS

This section lists all relevant (internal and external) Events. Internal Events are meetings and workshops organised by ICT-Emissions (i.e. Exploitation Group workshops). External Events are networking opportunities for the consortium to present the methodology and project results.

This section offers a general overview on Project Objectives, the Consortium of European partners, and Project Workflow.

2.5. METHODOLOGY

This section offers a description of the ICT-Emissions methodology for assessing the impact of advanced ICT -measures on transport.

2.6. JOIN THE EXPLOITATION GROUP

This section is dedicated to ICT-Emissions Exploitation Group. This area has public and restricted pages. The public page Meetings will display announcements of upcoming Exploitation Group workshops, agenda, and materials from completed activities. The restricted page Exploitation Group Restricted Area is available via subscription to members of the Exploitation group and partners only.

2.7. DELIVERABLE AND RESULTS

The download area of the website has public access. The public downloads section will be used to make documents such as the project leaflet, newsletter and public deliverables freely available to download in .pdf format.

The section Newsletter includes an on-line registration form allowing users to subscribe to ICT-Emissions newsletter.

2.8. PARTNER’S AREA

The member’s area is meant for consortium members and members of the Exploitation Group. Here they have access to restricted material such meeting minutes, project deliverables, etc. It includes pages for the project management, deliverables, logos and templates, and working documents.
