Year 5/6 ICT Club The year 5/6 ICT club meet at lunch every Thursday. The club was designed to provide a club where pupils interested in anything ICT can meet to be given the opportunity to learn about working with ICT and then being able to share this knowledge with others. Some of the things we do in the club is: look at new websites that can be used by others (rate them and test drive them), design movies, PowerPoints, Prezi’s, etc. for the use at assemblies. Pupils also get some time to share their knowledge with others. They get encouraged to share these ideas and new skills within their classes and to help their teachers where needed.

Year 4 ICT Club

Each week a group of 15 Year four students meet with Mrs Murray and explore eLearning ideas. They learn knew skill using computers, cameras and flip cameras to take back to their classes and share.

Parents might think the X Box Kinnect (which Mrs Murray won for the school last year) is just for playing games. The Y4 ICT club have discovered that it helps children use their brain and move by thinking at the same time. It is very motivating for students and similar to ‘Brain Gym’.

The Y4 ICT Club is about learning and having fun.
