ICT based lesson planning and Teaching:

In the present scenerio, there is a need for teachers to get updated with growing technol-

ogy. Worldwide research has shown that ICT can lead to the improvement in student learning and better

teaching methods. A report made by the National Institute of Multimedia Education in Japan, proved that

an increase in student exposure to educational ICT through curriculum integration has a significant and

positive impact on student achievement, especially in terms of Knowledge, Comprehension, Practical

skill and Presentation skill in subject areas such as Language, Mathematics, Science and Social study.

ADVANTAGES OF ICT TOOLS FOR EDUCATION

1. Through ICT, any image can be easily used in teaching and improving the retentive memory

of students.

2. Through ICT, teachers can easily explain complex subjects and ensure students'comprehension.

3. Through ICT, teachers can create interactive classes and make the lessons more enjoyable,

which could improve student’s attention and concentration.

NOTE:

Based on the 5E’s concept, teacher shall teach the lesson by using the computer technology. All the

necessary assets such as PPT Presentations shall be kept ready inadvance as a teaching aid. For an

effective PPT Presentation suitable and required Photos, Videos, Clip arts, Music, Animations, Tables,

Charts, Maps etc. shall be used. To make the work easier, there is a template at the last page of the

book. Using the template, teacher can plan and execute the lesson accordingly.
